摘要： A nipple configuration for use on baby bottles and in breast shields particularly adapted for feeding and nursing newborns. The configuration includes body and nipple portions integrally formed of a soft flexible material and defining raised ridges or other surface irregularities thereon so as to provide the feel of a mother's breast and nipple. The nipple projects outwardly from the body portion and defines a fluid passageway extending axially therethrough and a plurality of discharge openings in the extended end thereof. A flexible reinforcing tube extends through the passageway communicating the fluid openings with the interior of the body portion and preventing the nipple from collapsing upon being sucked by a newborn.

摘要： A baby bottle is disclosed containing a beverage that may be ready to consume. The bottle includes a receptacle for receiving a liquid beverage for feeding to an infant or small child. The receptacle may have an opening with a safety seal covering to protect the beverage from contamination. A cap with a nipple may be placed over the opening and a cover may be placed over the cap and nipple to keep the nipple sanitary. A ring seal may be used to attach the cover to the receptacle to indicate when the cover has been removed. Beverages such as milk, formula, juice or water may be packaged in the bottle in a condition ready to consume. After the beverage has been consumed, the bottle may be disposed or cleaned for repeated use.

摘要： The present invention 10 discloses a musical adapter for baby bottles 12. The musical adapter 10 is comprised of a housing 20 having a cavity for placing the base of a baby bottle 12 therein. The housing 20 has a rotatable lock ring 22 disposed within a threaded cap 24 for fixedly positioning the musical adapter to the baby bottle 12. The cavity within the musical adapter housing has an insert plate 36 for sealing the housing cavity. The lock ring 22 has a plurality of leaf-like springs 28 thereon. As the lock ring 22 is rotated the leaf-like springs 28 engage the multiple tangs 40 of the threaded cap 24 thereby forcing the leaf-like springs 28 inwardly so as to engage the bottle 23 therein, thereby decreasing the available diameter for the baby bottle 12 therein and crimping the bottle 12 between a plurality of leaf-like spring elements 28. Within the base of the housing 20 is a compartment 30 having a removable insert plate 36. The compartment 38 has frictional foam retaining members 34 for fixedly holding an electronic musical module 32 that generates a musical sequence. The playing of the tune is accomplished by pressing on the base 18 of the musical adapter 10.

摘要： The production of a protein free synthetic polyisoprene which has both low levels of chemical impurities and good physical properties has yet to be realized. It has now been envisioned that the use of neodymium catalyzed polyisoprene will offer the combined advantages of both a clean, as well as, high cis-1,4 polymer. Synthesis of polyisoprene rubber using a neodymium based catalyst system is described. Characterization of the material shows the absence of an ultra high molecular weight fraction and the presence of very high cis-1,4-microstructure. Gum stock and black filled compound studies comparing neodymium polyisoprene with natural rubber, titanium polyisoprene, and lithium polyisoprene have been performed. Results indicate that polyisoprene rubber synthesized using a neodymium catalyst system (NdnullPI) has similar stress-strain and tear properties as synthetic titanium polyisoprene. Analysis of residual volatile, extractable, and oligomer levels indicates NdnullPI is indeed a clean source of high cis synthetic polyisoprene. In the practice of this invention such NdnullPI is used in manufacturing articles used in manufacturing health care products, garments, clothing, and food and beverage packaging. Some specific applications include: bandages, drug delivery patches, suture tape, pharmaceutical closures, including syringe plungers and sleeves, vial closures and stoppers, tourniquets, exercise bands, condoms and prophylactic devices, gloves and glove dip, intervenous bags and tubing, baby bottle nipples, pacifiers, and teething devices, breast hoods, and dental and orthodontic devices.
