Abstract: An integrated annular headphone includes an annular headband and a pair of speaker modules. The annular headband has a first half section, a second half section and two retaining portions. The first half section is connected to the second half section in a closed manner. The two retaining portions are respectively disposed at two sides of the annular headband. Each retaining portion has an inner opening, an outer opening and a receiving chamber between the inner opening and the outer opening. The pair of speaker modules are respectively retained in the retaining portions. Each speaker module has an ear cover, a housing and an electroacoustic transducer disposed in the housing. The ear cover is fixed to the inner opening. The housing is partially exposed outside the outer opening. The electroacoustic transducer faces the inner opening.

Abstract: A method for transmission path noise control using an audio headset and a sending device comprises generating microphone signals by a first and a second microphone of the headset based on detected sound including desired audio information and noise. An encoded signal is generated on a first line of a data cable by means of the headset by encoding input signals depending on the microphone signals. The method comprises transmitting the encoded signal from the headset to the sending device via the first, reconstructing the input signals by decoding the encoded signal by the sending device, generating by the sending device a clean signal by applying a first noise control algorithm to the reconstructed first and second input signal and sending a signal depending on the clean signal to a communication network.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a circuit includes an audio jack that receives a connector of an external transducer. The circuit also includes an amplifier coupled to the audio jack and configured to amplify a signal associated with the external transducer. The circuit further includes a plurality of connection lines coupled to the amplifier and configured to relay the signal between the amplifier and a plurality of audio jacks of independent computing devices. The circuit additionally includes one or more resistors that provide resistance to each of the connection lines. A resistance of a particular one of the connection lines is sufficient to cause the computing device coupled to the particular connection line to recognize the particular connection line as an external transducer.

Abstract: A system directs boom microphone placement. A microphone is configured to capture speech audio from a user and output corresponding electrical signals. A proximity sensor is situated adjacent the microphone and configured to produce output signals representative of a distance from the microphone to the user's face or mouth. A headset assembly includes a boom carrying the microphone and the proximity sensor, where the boom can be adjusted to a plurality of positions adjacent the user's face or mouth.
