摘要: Methods, systems, and circuitries for configuring, measuring, and reporting channel state information are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus for a user equipment device (UE) includes processors configured to determine first channel state information (CSI) reference signal (RS) resource associated with a serving cell for the UE and determine a second CSI-RS resource associated with a non-serving cell for the UE. A first reference signal received in the first CSI-RS resource and a second reference signal received in the second CSI-RS resource are measured. First report quantities characterizing a channel between the UE and the serving cell are calculated based on the measurement of the first reference signal and second report quantities characterizing a channel between the UE and the non-serving cell are calculated based on the measurement of the second reference signal. The first and second report quantities are reported to the serving cell.

摘要: Channel state information (CSI) feedback in a wireless communication system is disclosed. User equipment transmits a CSI feedback signal via a Physical Uplink Control CHannel (PUCCH). If the UE is configured in a first feedback mode, the CSI comprises a first report jointly coding a Rank Indicator (RI) and a first precoding matrix indicator (PMI1), and a second report coding Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) and a second precoding matrix indicator (PMI2). If the UE is configured in a second feedback mode, the CSI comprises a first report coding RI, and a second report coding CQI, PMI1 and PMI2. The jointly coded RI and PMI1 employs codebook sub-sampling, and the jointly coding PMI1, PMI2 and CQI employs codebook sub-sampling.

摘要: There is provided a method of operating a wireless device, UE, in a communication network. The method includes transmitting, to the communication network, a first capability indication that indicates that the UE supports a maximum number of MIMO layers for a serving cell configuration on a carrier and the second capability indication that indicates that the UE supports a maximum number of MIMO layers for a bandwidth part, BWP, of the serving cell. The method further includes receiving a configuration that includes a first higher layer parameter associated with the maximum number of MIMO layers for a serving cell and a second higher layer parameter associated with the maximum number of MIMO layers for a specific BWP part of the serving cell, wherein the configuration is based on the first capability indication and the second capability indication. Furthermore, there is provided a UE, a RAN node and a method therefore.

Method for reporting channel state information by a user equipment comprises the steps of: receiving CSI reporting-related configuration information; wherein a report for at least one of aperiodic CSI, periodic CSI, or semi-persistent CSI is configured based on the CSI reporting-related configuration information, calculating first information and second information for a channel quality; wherein the first information is calculated by applying a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) included in latest aperiodically reported CSI, and the second information is calculated by applying the PMI at a time of calculation of the second information, and determining at least one of whether to transmit a flag and a value of the flag; and transmitting CSI to the base station based on the first information and the flag.

摘要: Techniques, described herein, include solutions for managing uplink control information (UCI) transmission for a channel state information (CSI) report resulting from measurements of CSI measurement resources. In response to the CSI report exceeding allocated uplink resources of a UCI transmission, a compressed CSI report can be generated by performing an uplink control information (UCI) omission to omit parameters of the CSI report based on components comprising frequency domain (FD) components and time domain (TD) components of the MIMO codebook configuration. The UCI transmission can be generated with the compressed CSI report.

摘要: Provided are a capability information feedback method and apparatus, and a channel state information feedback method and apparatus. The capability information feedback method comprises: transmitting, by a first communication node, capability information to a second communication node, where the capability information is used for indicating a capability of the first communication node; and receiving, by the first communication node, parameter signaling which is transmitted by the second communication node and corresponds to the capability of the first communication node. Through the method, the first communication node feeds the capability information supported by the first communication node back to the second communication node so that the second communication node can perform scheduling based on the capability of the first communication node, thereby reducing the system overhead and improving the system performance.
