The method comprises: sending a user interface software packet stored in the controller's memory to a first external device; disassembling the user interface software packet in the first external device into executable user interface server software and user interface client software; sending the user interface client software from the first external device to a second portable external device; the user interface client software communicating with the user interface server software via a wireless radio connection between the first external device and the second portable external device; the user interface server software converting the commands issued by the user interface client software and transferring the commands to the controller's interface; and the controller executing an operation according to the converted command received via its interface.

    摘要: A control system for a plastics processing machine with at least one central processing unit with a real-time operating system is described. The central processing unit is connected to a plurality of actuators and/or sensors via a bus system, with at least one actuator and/or sensor directed to a rapidly fluctuating variable with a high-resolution. The first central processing unit can be released of overly burdensome control and communication tasks by using a first pre-processing unit which performs signal pre-processing for several sensors and/or actuators and by using a second pre-processing unit, which relieves the central processing unit directly of the bus communication.

    摘要: Distributed, packet-based premises automation system. The system can include, multiple, distributed, processor-based input/output (I/O) units. Changes in inputs can be broadcast using one or more protocols onto a home or other premises network, and/or the Internet. I/O units can receive commands from the network and effect control of the premises equipment based on those commands. Input and output identifiers have a format that allows them to uniquely identify any input and output in the distributed system, regardless of how large the system is or how many I/O units the system has. Any computer or controller on the network can see the changes in the inputs and any computer or controller can effect changes in an output, providing for true, distributed control. Virtual inputs are provided, each allowing a standard meaning to be applied to a storage bit that represents some state or condition of the premises.
