    摘要: A hand-held powered screw tightening tool is provided with a detecting means to detect a rotation angle of a rotary member in a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction.     摘要: In an impact type clamping apparatus including a motor unit for generating a pulsatory driving torque, a main spindle driven by said pulsatory driving torque to rotate a fastening member, a detecting unit for detecting a pulsatory torque applied to the main spindle, a calculating circuit for calculating a clamping force in accordance with a peak value of the pulsatory torque, and a control unit for stopping the operation of said motor unit when the calculated clamping force exceeds a desired clamping force, said clamping force is calculated not only from the peak value of the pulsatory torque but also from an increasing coefficient which represents a relationship between the peak value of the pulsatory torque and an increment of the clamping force. The increasing coefficient is gradually decreased in accordance with the increase in the clamping force, so that the clamping force can be calculated very accurately and the fastening member can be clamped with an actual clamping force which is very close to the desired clamping force.

    摘要: An air impact tool has an air motor driving a rotary impact mechanism which has a drive shaft which is coupled to a coaxial load shaft through a torque-limiting clutch mechanism which includes a rigid torque member coupled to one of the shafts and having a peripheral drive surface with drive surface portions, and a yieldable torque member coupled to the other shaft. A plurality of flexible and resilient arms on the yieldable torque member are equiangularly spaced apart around the axis of rotation parallel thereto and are cantilevered from a support yoke, the distal ends of the arms being respectively engaged with the drive surface portions of the torque receiving member. A retaining cylinder encircles the arms and holds them against the drive surface, the retaining cylinder being threadedly engaged with an adjusting member which is rotatable but axially fixed to effect axial movement of the retaining cylinder to vary the retaining force on the torque transmitting arms. Embodiments showing internally and externally threaded retaining cylinders, and planar and concave drive surface portions are disclosed.

    摘要: A lock mechanism for an impact wrench containing a torsion bar torque control system including a torsion bar, an annular member surrounding the torsion bar, a sleeve slideably splined on the annular member, a nut threaded on the annular member for adjusting the sleeve along the member, and a gear key for adjusting the nut and engaging gear teeth on the nut and a radial hole on the sleeve. The locking means includes a series of detent recesses on the sleeve and a spring-pressed detent contained in the nut for selectively engaging the recesses to prevent the nut from turning when the gear key is withdrawn from the mechanism. A ring is slideably mounted on the sleeve and located to force the detent to a nonlocking position when the gear key is inserted in its radial hole contained in the sleeve.
