    摘要: The adjustable foot equipment is adaptable to ski boots, in-line roller skates, ice skates, water skis and snowboards, and includes a base formed with a depending appendage adapted to be joined with a support member. The appendage and the support member are formed with complementary engaging curved surfaces that permit relative pivotal movement between a foot holding portion of the foot equipment and the support member. Once a desired offset angular orientation between the support member and the foot holding portion is determined, a securing arrangement locks the support member to the appendage. The securing arrangement can be easily released to permit resetting of a selected offset angular orientation. Some embodiments of the invention permit permanent adjustment of a selected offset angular orientation.

    摘要: A releasable binding assembly for a gliding board such as a monoski or snowboard which includes a pair of binding elements, each of which includes a mechanism for elastically retaining a shoe or boot and for releasing the shoe or boot upon the exertion of a biasing force exceeding a predetermined threshold. Each binding element includes a member which is movable against an elastic biasing force from an armed position in which a respective shoe or boot is retained on the board and a disarmed position in which the shoe or boot is permitted to be released. A linkage apparatus is provided so that upon release of one shoe or boot, the magnitude of the force which retains the other shoe or boot is reduced or eliminated to facilitate the release of the other shoe or boot.

    摘要: The invention relates to a heel-piece for binding a boot on a gliding board that includes a frame including a vertical extension; a body rotatably mounted about the extension; at least two rods supported by the body, extending on respective sides of the vertical extension, the two rods each having a free end to cooperate with a housing in the heel of the boot; and a holding mechanism for maintaining a spacing between the free ends of the rods. The vertical extension supports at least one contact zone fixed in relation to the frame. Each rod cooperates with a respective portion of the contact zone, specific to each rod. The contact zone is arranged such that a rotation of the body about the extension, from a descent configuration, causes an increased spacing between the two rods. The invention also relates to a binding system and a gliding board equipped with such a binding.

    摘要: An active high back system is provided for automatically adjusting the snowboard boot between a walking position and a riding position. The snowboard boot is provided with an active highback support that is adjustably mounted to a snowboard boot. During walking, the active highback support does not constrain the flexibility of the snowboard boot making it possible for the snowboard rider to walk easily. When the rider steps into the bindings of the snowboard, the active highback support engages a part of the snowboard or binding that causes the snowboard boot to lean forward. In other words, the highback support is positioned to engage the back leg portion of a snowboard boot to provide a rigid surface that holds the boot in a forward leaning position. The active highback support is provided with an adjustment mechanism that allows the rider to adjust the amount of forward lean when the snowboard boot is engaged within the bindings of the snow board.

    摘要: A boot binding system is shown for use especially on skiboards, having a binding plate, boot supports, bails, a lever, a resilient material, and a size adjustment locking mechanism. Boot supports and binding plate are complimentary shaped for slideable affixation to each, without requiring additional fasteners. A simple fastener locks the relative position of the boot support on the binding plate while also immobilizing any boot support motion. In the locked position, the fastener mates with counterbores in the binding plate's surface. The binding plate is rectangular in top view and its longitudinal edges have a chamfer, which complements a chamfer on the boot supports. The binding plate has mounting holes in its central region, which are used to affix the binding to a skiboard. Resilient material exists between the binding plate and the skiboard, thereby allowing the skiboard to flex more freely. The boot supports have slots to retain the bails. The lever also has a slot to accept a bail. The binding is simple to manufacture and assemble making it cost competitive for production. An alternate embodiment includes a version that eliminates the need for resilient material. A second alternate embodiment eliminates the central mount and mounts to the skiboard in the region of the boot supports.
