Disclosed is a device and method of providing a driver with eco-driving information. More specifically, the disclosed method and device induces a driver to operate a vehicle in an eco-friendly manner by computing for and displaying to the driver a fuel efficiency oriented vehicle speed that maximizes the vehicle's driving distance based on the vehicle's current weight and electrical load.

An optical device and method are provided including a spindle motor mounted in a turn table on which an optical disk is attached and detached. The optical device includes a bracket secured with a stator of the spindle motor. The optical device also includes a tray body directly connected to the bracket. A skew angle of the spindle motor is adjusted while the bracket is assembled to the tray body, and an adjusting method of the optical device.
Abstract:
The present invention allows a man to recognize a location of a sound source in a three-dimensional space using two ears and applies a method of separating a sound source in a certain orientation to improve the performance of an application technology using a speech in a noisy environment. The present invention acquires a speech signal using two sensors and determines an orientation angle of a sound source in a zero-crossing point step with respect to a frequency separated signal with a band pass filter bank. An object of the present invention is to obtain excellent sound source orientation detection and division performance which is difficult to be obtained in an existing crossing correlation method calculated in units of time frames in a noisy environment with a plurality of sound sources.

An apparatus and method for adjusting the friendliness of a synthesized speech and thus generating synthesized speech of various styles in a speech synthesis system are provided. The method includes the steps of defining at least two friendliness levels; storing recorded speech data of sentences, the sentences being made up according to each of the friendliness levels; extracting at least one of prosodic characteristics for each of the friendliness levels from the recorded speech data, said prosodic characteristics including at least one of a sentence-final intonation type, boundary intonation types of intonation phrases in the sentence, and an average value of F0 of the sentence, with respect to the recorded speech data; and generating a prosodic model for each of the friendliness levels by statistically modeling the at least one of the prosodic characteristics.

Provided are a SiGe semiconductor device and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes the steps of: forming a buried collector by doping impurity ions into a buried collector region formed on a substrate; forming a collector layer which is an active region and a collector electrode region by forming a Si epitaxial layer on the substrate having the buried collector; forming an isolation layer on the substrate and exposing the collector layer and the collector electrode region; forming a collector pad oxide layer on the collector electrode region; stacking a base epitaxial layer and a pad oxide layer on the substrate having the collector pad oxide layer and patterning the pad oxide layer; forming a first polycrystalline Si (poly-Si) layer on the patterned pad oxide layer; exposing at least a portion of the patterned pad oxide layer by etching the first poly-Si layer; depositing a metal layer on the first poly-Si layer to form a first silicide layer; forming an oxide layer on the substrate having the first silicide layer, and exposing a base-emitter junction and the collector electrode region; forming an emitter electrode and a collector electrode by depositing a second poly-Si layer on the exposed base-emitter junction and collector electrode region; and depositing a metal layer on the emitter and collector electrodes to form a second silicide layer, and forming a base terminal, an emitter terminal, and a collector terminal. In this method, base parasitic resistance can be reduced, an electrical short due to agglomeration caused by Ge can be prevented during the formation of the silicide layer, and the base-emitter junction can be protected using the pad oxide layer from external processes, thereby enhancing process stability and reliability.

Provided are a semiconductor device and a method of manufacturing the same. The method includes the steps of: forming a first silicon layer on a semiconductor substrate; patterning the first silicon layer formed on the semiconductor substrate, and exposing a channel region; forming a second silicon layer on the semiconductor substrate in which the channel region is exposed; removing the first silicon layer, and forming source and drain regions; and forming a third silicon layer in the source and drain regions. According to the manufacturing method, it is possible to minimize defects in a silicon interface by forming the source and drain using only a selective epitaxial growth method without a dry-etching process. Also, since stress is concentrated to a silicon channel region, hole mobility and driving current characteristics are considerably improved.

The method of capture comprises a field of reactors disbursed across the facial area of the sensor, the output of which produces a dot-pattern capture of the intended image which is passed to a storage device.
