Abstract: A display device may include a hole, a display element, a switching element, a groove, a planarization layer, and a cover layer. The switching element may be electrically connected to the display element. The encapsulation layer may cover the display element. The groove may be located between the hole and the display element. A portion of the planarization layer may be located between a first edge of the planarization layer and a second edge of the planarization and may be located in the groove. The first edge of the planarization layer may be located closer to the display element than the second edge of the planarization layer. The cover layer may at least partially cover the first edge of the planarization layer.

Each of the sensing units includes a first sensing pattern, second sensing patterns, a bridge pattern, and a plurality of patterns. Among the sensing units, the patterns of the sensing unit making contact with a first boundary portion having a curvature in the active area and a peripheral area include a plurality of outer patterns, and at least one of the outer patterns is electrically connected to the first sensing pattern or the second sensing patterns.

Abstract: An sensing unit including a first conductive layer including a first line portion including a first auxiliary sensing line, a second auxiliary sensing line, and a connection line, an insulating layer and a second conductive layer disposed on the insulating layer. The second conductive layer includes an electrode portion including a first sensing pattern and a second sensing pattern and a second line portion including a first sensing line overlapping the first auxiliary sensing line and connected to the first sensing pattern and a second sensing line overlapping the second auxiliary sensing line. The first sensing line is disposed between the second sensing pattern and the second sensing line, the connection line does not overlap the first auxiliary sensing line, crosses the first sensing line in a plan view, and connects the second sensing line to the second sensing pattern through contact holes defined through the insulating layer.
