Abstract:
A printer or the like is provided that can increase adhesiveness between cured photo curable ink and a print medium as necessary. The printer includes a discharge unit 8 that discharges UV ink on a print medium S, an ultraviolet ray irradiation unit 15 that is set to a first mode in which, of a first light for curing the UV ink and a second light with higher curing properties than the first light, only the first light is irradiated on the print medium S on which the UV ink has been discharged, or a second mode in which at least the second light is irradiated, an adhesiveness information acquisition unit that acquires adhesiveness information related to ink adhesiveness which is adhesiveness between the UV ink and the print medium S when the UV ink is cured using the first light, and a control unit that sets the ultraviolet ray irradiation unit 15 to the second mode when the acquired adhesiveness information is designated information related to low ink adhesiveness.
Abstract:
A printer or the like is provided that can perform wettability enhancement treatment as necessary. The printer includes a discharge unit 8 that discharges UV ink on a printing surface Sa of a print medium S, a corona treater 18 that, before discharging of the UV ink by the discharge unit 8, is set to a treating state that performs corona treatment that enhances wettability in relation to the UV ink, or a non-treating state that does not perform the corona treatment, a wettability information acquisition unit that acquires wettability information related to the wettability of the printing surface Sa for which corona treatment has not been performed, and a control unit that sets the corona treater 18 to the treating state when the acquired wettability information is designated information related to low wettability, and that sets the corona treater 18 to the non-treating state when the acquired wettability information is not the designated information.
Abstract:
There is provided a liquid discharging apparatus including: a first nozzle row and a second nozzle row in which nozzles for discharging liquid are lined up, and the second nozzle row is disposed by forming an overlapped region in which an end portion of one side in a predetermined direction is overlapped with an end portion of the other side in the predetermined direction of the first nozzle row; and a control unit which discharges liquid from the first nozzle row and the second nozzle row depending on input data of an image and a recording duty for discharging liquid, increases a recording duty in the overlapped region with respect to a recording duty in a non-overlapped region which is a region other than the overlapped region, and differentiates increased amounts of the recording duty in the overlapped region from each other depending on the input data.
Abstract:
There is provided a liquid discharging apparatus including: a first nozzle row and a second nozzle row in which nozzles for discharging liquid are lined up in a predetermined direction; and a control unit, in which the control unit, when a value of the input data of the image is at least in a partial range, obtains a corrected discharging rate which is a discharging rate smaller than a discharging rate in the non-overlapped region with respect to the value of the input data at least in the partial range of the input data, and discharges the liquid from the nozzles of the first nozzle row and the second nozzle row depending on the corrected discharging rate, and a predetermined recording duty which is a recording duty higher than a recording duty in the non-overlapped region, in the overlapped region.
Abstract:
There is provided a printing apparatus including: a transport unit which transports a medium in a transport direction, a first head, a first light source which is provided further to the downstream side in the transport direction than the first head, a second head which is provided further to the downstream side in the transport direction than the first head and the first light source, and a second light source which is provided further to the downstream side in the transport direction than the second head and which irradiates light with a stronger irradiation energy than the irradiation energy of the first light source, in which the first head ejects ink of one color of any among magenta ink, cyan ink, and black ink onto a medium, and the second head ejects yellow ink onto the medium.
