    Abstract: A display device including: a substrate; a gate line disposed on the substrate to transmit a gate signal; a first reference voltage line spaced apart from the gate line to transmit a reference voltage; a second reference voltage line disposed on the gate line and the first reference voltage line and electrically connected to the first reference voltage line; an insulating layer disposed on the second reference voltage line; and a pixel electrode layer disposed on the insulating layer, wherein the pixel electrode layer includes a first pixel electrode having a first sub-pixel electrode disposed at a first side with respect to the gate line and a second sub-pixel electrode disposed at a second side opposite to the first side with respect to the gate line, and the second reference voltage line may overlap the first pixel electrode and may cross the first pixel electrode.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes: first and second thin film transistors and a compensation transistor formed on a first insulation substrate; a first gray subpixel electrode connected to a drain electrode of the first thin film transistor; a second gray subpixel electrode connected to a drain electrode of the compensation transistor and a drain electrode of the second thin film transistor; and first and second reference voltage lines overlapping at least one of the second gray subpixel electrode and the first gray subpixel electrode, wherein a pixel area occupied by the first gray subpixel electrode and the second gray subpixel electrode is extended in a first direction, the first and second reference voltage lines are extended in a second direction, which is substantially perpendicular to the first direction, to overlap the pixel area, and one of the first and second reference voltage lines is connected to a source electrode of the compensation transistor.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes first and second subpixel electrodes, a common electrode and first and second reference voltage lines. The first and second subpixel electrodes are electrically connected through first and second switching elements to a data line supplied with a data voltage. The first subpixel electrode is electrically connected through a third switching element to one of the first and second reference voltage lines. A polarity of the first reference voltage is different from a polarity of the second reference voltage with respect to the common voltage supplied to the common electrode. Liquid crystal molecules are disposed between the first subpixel electrode and the common electrode and between the second subpixel electrode and the common electrode.

    Abstract: A display device includes a substrate, a scan line disposed on the substrate, a storage line parallel to the scan line and a data line intersecting the scan line and the storage line. First and second transistors are electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. A first pixel electrode is disposed on the first transistor and includes a first stem portion, a first contact portion and a first branch portion. The first branch portion electrically connects the first contact portion to the first stem portion, a second pixel electrode is disposed on the second transistor and includes a second stem portion, a second contact portion and a second branch portion. The second branch portion electrically connects the second contact portion to the second stem portion. A first pattern is disposed between the substrate and the second pixel electrode. The first pattern overlaps the second branch portion.
