Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a first sidelink user equipment (UE) transmits a sidelink (SL) beam failure recovery (BFR) message to a communications node, indicating a new candidate beam and an identifier (ID) of a second sidelink UE. The method also receives an acknowledgment of the SL BFR message. A communications node receives a sidelink beam failure recovery message from a first sidelink user equipment, indicating a new candidate beam and an ID of a second sidelink UE. The method also transmits information identifying the new candidate beam and the ID to the second sidelink UE. Another method by a first sidelink user equipment receives a sidelink beam failure recovery message from a base station, indicating a new candidate beam and an ID of a second sidelink UE. The method changes a beam used to communicate with the second sidelink UE in response to receiving the BFR message.

The first UE may selectively transmit the sidelink timing synchronization signal to the second UE based at least in part on determining whether to transmit the sidelink timing synchronization signal to the second UE. The method generally includes applying a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for the first UE, monitoring for first signaling from a second UE indicating that the second UE has data to send to the first UE, the first signaling being transmitted using a plurality of transmit beams during a DRX cycle of the DRX configuration, selecting one or more transmit beams of the plurality of transmit beams based on the monitoring of the first signaling, and communicating in accordance with the selection.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication. A user equipment (UE) may determine, based on a sidelink resource configuration from a base station, a physical sidelink control/shared channel (PSCCH/PSSCH) occasion to monitor for a sidelink transmission from a second UE. The UE may receive, during the PSCCH/PSSCH occasion, a signal indicative of a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) command. The UE may determine to stop monitoring the PSCCH for the PSCCH/PSSCH occasion in response to the sidelink DRX command.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for dynamically scheduling antenna resources of a wireless node, such as, antenna panels of a user equipment (UE). In some cases, a first node (e.g., a UE) performs, with two or more other nodes, a first beam sweep procedure across two or more antenna resources of the first node on two or more wireless interfaces, generates or obtains scheduling information based on results of the first beam sweep procedure, wherein the scheduling information indicates which of the antenna resources is scheduled for which wireless interfaces, and communicates with the other nodes on the wireless interfaces according to the scheduling information.
