Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may obtain, at an access stratum (AS) layer, an indication of an inter-satellite link (ISL) activation that is to take place at an activation time. The wireless communication device may receive communications. The wireless communication device may buffer the communications in a buffer at the AS layer. The wireless communication device may release the communications from the buffer to an upper protocol layer at a rate of release that is to change between a transition start time and the activation time. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for random access. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes determining a first timing advance (TA) for transmitting a random access channel (RACH) preamble. The method includes determining a second TA, different than the first TA, for transmitting the RACH preamble. The method includes transmitting the RACH preamble using the second TA. The method includes receiving a random access response (RAR) message including a timing advance command (TAC) and determining whether the RAR is intended for the UE based on the TAC, the first TA, and the second TA. The method includes transmitting a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission based on a determination that the RAR is intended for the UE.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable medium for fronthaul compression are provided. An example method may include receiving, from a UE, uplink data via one or more active tones of a plurality of tones in a symbol, the uplink data corresponding to an access vector. The example method may further include compressing the uplink data based on a linear transformation of a pseudo-access vector generated based on the access vector, the linear transformation including a matrix, the compression enabling a second network entity to decompress the compressed uplink data without knowing one or more locations associated with the one or more active tones. The example method may further include transmitting, to the second network entity, the compressed uplink data.

Abstract: A node may forward, from a base station to a first UE, or from the first UE to the base station, one or more wireless signals. The node may identify an indication to stop signal forwarding to the first UE. The indication may be based on a level of an interference to a second UE associated with the signal forwarding to the first UE being greater than a first threshold. The level of the interference to the second UE may be based on a path gain difference or a signal strength at the first UE associated with the signal forwarding to the first UE. The signal strength at the first UE associated with the signal forwarding to the first UE may correspond to an RSRP at the first UE. The node may stop the signal forwarding to the first UE based on the indication.

In an aspect, a position estimation entity determines a set of position estimates associated with a set of user equipments (UEs), obtains first measurement information associated with a set of signals as reflected off of a target intelligent reflecting surface (IRS), determines a position estimate of the target IRS based on the set of position estimates and the first measurement information, and determines an orientation, relative to a common orientation reference frame, of the target IRS based on the set of position estimates and at least the first measurement information.
