    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support adaptive multi-component carrier scheduling for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. In some aspects, a method of wireless communication includes a user equipment (UE) receiving from a base station, a downlink control information configured to schedule a PUSCH transmission to the base station using a first number of component carriers. The UE may transmit to the base station a portion of the PUSCH transmission via the first number of component carriers. The UE may then transmit, to the base station, the remaining portion of the PUSCH transmission using a second number of component carriers based on an uplink packet delay budget (PDB) remaining after transmitting the portion of the PUSCH transmission via the first number of component carriers. In some aspects, the second number of component carriers is greater than the first number of component carriers.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a primary cell, an indication of a capability to synchronize with a secondary cell based on measurements of the primary cell. A UE may estimate a propagation delay (tp) and an angle of arrival (AoA) of the secondary cell based on a synchronization signal block (SSB) or a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) transmitted by the primary cell. A UE may perform automatic gain control (AGC), fine timing synchronization, and fine frequency synchronization of the secondary cell based on a temporary aperiodic tracking reference signal (A-TRS) transmitted by the secondary cell. A UE may perform a receive beam sweep on a burst of a CSI-RS transmitted by the secondary cell, wherein a range of the receive beam sweep is based on the estimated AoA.

The UE may determine a position of the UE relative to a network entity. The UE may determine, based on the position of the UE, a subset of beams available to the network entity for transmitting a paging message. The subset of beams may be less than a quantity of beams available to the network entity for transmitting the paging message and a coverage area of the subset of beams may include the position of the UE. The UE may monitor, based on receiving the paging indication, the subset of beams over a physical downlink shared channel for the paging message.

The network may indicate, for a given beam, whether a user equipment (UE) is able to access the cell via the given beam. In some examples, control signaling may include a list of each beam associated with the cell and may indicate whether each beam is barred or accessible. In some examples, control signaling include a field indicating whether the particular beam on which the control signaling was transmitted is barred. In some examples, control signaling may indicate whether a cell is barred. The UE may interpret the indication of whether the cell is barred as indicating whether the beam on which the control signaling was transmitted is barred.

A user equipment (UE) may defer transmission of a first feedback message to a target transmission time interval (TTI). During a reception time interval, a base station may transmit, to the UE, downlink control information (DCI) that triggers the UE to schedule a second feedback message, where the first feedback message and the second feedback message are associated with different types of hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) codebooks. The UE may compare a minimum processing time of the UE with a time difference between the reception time interval and the target TTI and determine (e.g., evaluate) whether to cancel transmission of the first feedback message based on the comparison. In accordance with the determining, the UE may transmit at least one of the first feedback message or the second feedback message.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for reporting content processing times to a base station to allow the base station to efficiently schedule bi-directional communications one or more UEs. A content processing time may correspond to the time taken by a UE to process one or more downlink signals received in one or more downlink transmissions. In some examples, the UE may report a content processing time for each downlink transmission. In some examples, the UE may report one or more content processing times for multiple downlink transmissions. The base station may use the content processing times to configure an appropriate gap between downlink and uplink transmissions such that the UE may have sufficient time to process downlink signals before transmitting one or more uplink transmissions in response to the one or more downlink transmissions.
