Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink operation. A method that may be performed by a first user equipment (UE) includes generating at least one first message indicating a request for resource allocation for sidelink communication between the first UE and a second UE, transmitting the at least one message indicating the request for the resource allocation, receiving at least one second message allocating one or more first component carriers for the sidelink communication, and communicating with the second UE using the one or more first component carriers.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure, for a first beam group of a set of beam groups associated with the UE, a first channel busy ratio (CBR) for the first beam group. The UE may receive, from a second UE, an indication of a second CBR for a second beam group associated with the second UE. The UE may transmit, to the second UE using a beam included in the first beam group, a signal using one or more transmit parameters that are based at least in part on at least one of the first CBR or the second CBR. Abstract: This disclosure relates to sidelink carrier aggregation and cross-carrier scheduling indications in sidelink control information (SCI). Specifically, in one aspect, a transmit UE may configure a multi-component carrier grant including a plurality of component carriers for a physical sidelink share channel (PSSCH). The transmit UE may further transmit, one or both of a set of first SCI each including a single component carrier grant corresponding to one component carrier from the multi-component carrier grant and associated with scheduling information of the one component carrier, or a second SCI including the multi-component carrier grant and associated with scheduling information of the plurality of component carriers. In another aspect, a receiver UE may receive one or both of the set of first SCI each including the single component carrier grant corresponding to one component carrier from the multi-component carrier grant, or the second SCI including the multi-component carrier grant.

Abstract: In some aspects of the disclosure, an apparatus for wireless communication includes a receiver and a transmitter. The transmitter is configured to transmit a first transmission during a first time slot and to transmit a second transmission during a second time slot that is after the first time slot. The first transmission includes first data and a first demodulation reference signal (DMRS) associated with the first data, and the second transmission includes second data and a second DMRS associated with the second data. One or more of the first transmission or the second transmission further includes an indication of whether a joint channel estimation operation is to be performed based on the first DMRS and the second DMRS.

Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication over a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE. The first UE may receive, from a base station, a first sidelink grant for a transmission between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may communicate the transmission according to the sidelink grant. The first UE may monitor a configured duration of a sidelink round trip time timer from the transmission. The first UE may monitor a configured duration of a sidelink retransmission timer from an end of the sidelink round trip time timer. The first UE may allow start of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode after the duration of the sidelink retransmission time if a second grant is not received during the sidelink retransmission timer.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining shared resources associated with one or more user equipments (UEs) for sidelink communications, including control resources and data resources. A first UE may transmit a sidelink request to reserve a subset of data resources to a second UE, and may monitor for one or more sidelink responses indicating a positive sidelink response to the sidelink request, a negative sidelink response to the sidelink request, or both. The second UE may transmit a positive sidelink response if it is available for a data transmission. A third UE may transmit a negative sidelink response if it objects to the data transmission. The first UE may determine, based on monitoring for the one or more sidelink responses, whether to transmit a sidelink confirmation indicating a reservation of the subset of the data resources to the second UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a configured grant that indicates time-frequency resources for a user equipment (UE) to use to transmit sidelink or uplink messages in a wireless communications system. To reduce the amount of low priority traffic that may interfere with higher priority traffic, the base station may configure a threshold probability to allow high priority sidelink transmissions and to cancel low priority transmissions. The base station may transmit a cancellation indication that includes a priority indication instructing the UE to cancel transmissions having a priority less than a priority threshold during the allocated time-frequency resources. Based on transmitting the cancellation indication, the base station may cancel transmissions that have low priority, and the UE may determine whether to transmit (or to refrain from transmitting) one or more messages based on the priority of the message.
