Abstract: Techniques for providing spatial awareness to a user equipment (UE) such as an on-board unit (OBU) of a vehicle is disclosed. In some embodiments, such techniques may include: receiving first contextual information from a plurality of OBUs, the first contextual information comprising optically sensed information, spatially sensed information, or a combination thereof obtained by the plurality of OBUs; generating a gap-filling message customized for a given OBU of the plurality of OBUs based on a set of contextual information derived from the received first contextual information, the set of contextual information comprising a union of (i) the first contextual information and (ii) second contextual information comprising optical information, spatial information, or a combination thereof known to the given OBU, such that the first contextual information and the second contextual information do not overlap in the set of contextual information; and sending the gap-filling message to the given OBU.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for method for wireless communication are described. A serving network entity may receive, from a user equipment (UE) and via an access link, a distance-based sidelink message including an indication of a region of interest around the UE. In some examples, the distance-based sidelink message may be for relay of the distance-based sidelink message to one or more UEs within the region of interest. The serving network entity may select one or more target network entities that provide service to at least a portion of the region of interest around the UE. The serving network entity may then transmit, via a backhaul link, the distance-based sidelink message to the one or more target network entities for relay of the distance-based sidelink message to one or more UEs within the region of interest.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Aspects of the disclosure provide techniques for wireless devices utilizing wireless communications systems to perform radar operations to leverage challenges within radar signaling to detect one or more adverse parties attempting to spoof one or more radar signals. For example, a base station may transmit, to one or more vehicles, a message including an indication of a challenge type, when the challenge is to be applied, or both. Based on the challenge, one or more vehicles may detect that a device associated with the adverse party is not following the challenge as dictated in the message. Based on the detection, the one or more vehicles may report, to the base station, the detection of an adverse party attempting to spoof radars within the wireless communications system.

Abstract: A group of user equipment (UEs) for sidelink communications includes a master UE and member UEs. Any of the UE may measure one or more sidelink synchronization signal sources during a configured measurement gap within the sidelink communications with the group of UEs. A member UE may transmit an alternative synchronization source report indicating detected synchronization sources to the master UE. The master UE is configured to determine to change from a first synchronization source to a second synchronization source for sidelink communications with a group of UEs. The master UE is configured to transmit, to the group of UEs, timing assistance information for synchronization with the second synchronization source. The UEs are configured to switch sidelink communications with the group of UEs to the second synchronization source.

Abstract: A method for wireless communication at a first user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the first UE transmits, for a first network entity, an indication of a group identifier (ID) associated with communication between a group of UEs. The group of UEs includes the first UE and at least one second UE, and the group ID is associated with an identification of the at least one second UE by the first network entity via a second network entity. The first UE further communicates, based on the group ID, with the at least one second UE through a UE-Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) connection via the first network entity and the second network entity. The method facilitates the connection among UEs served by different cells and improves the efficiency of wireless communication.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may receive, from a first user equipment (UE), an uplink message that includes one or more sidelink communication identifications each associated with a different UE of a set of one or more UEs. The base station may transmit one or more signals for transitioning each of the set of one or more UEs associated with the set of second identifications from an inactive mode to an active mode based on associating each of the set of one or more sidelink communication identifications with the second identification of the set of second identifications. A second UE may receive the one or more signals that trigger the transition and may communicate with the first UE based on receiving the wake-up signal.

Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) wakes up a second UE to request information using an application specific sidelink wake up signal (SL-WUS). The first UE determines a sidelink configuration of the second UE that is configured with a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The first UE transmits the SL-WUS on a configured resource monitored by the second UE during the DRX mode. A selection of a sequence of the SL-WUS or a selection of the configured resource indicates a type of information requested by the first UE. The second UE receives the SL-WUS, wakes up during a DRX on duration, and transmits the requested information. The first UE receives the type of information requested by the first UE.
