Abstract: A washing machine includes an inner tub assembly for accommodating laundry, a pulsator rotatably provided to an inner lower portion of the inner tub assembly, a blade installed at a lower portion of the pulsator to be rotatable independently from the pulsator, the blade being configured to pump wash water to raise the wash water to an upper end of the inner tub assembly, a drive motor for providing rotational power to the pulsator and the blade, and a power transmission unit for transmitting power of the drive motor to the pulsator and the blade, respectively. The power transmission unit includes a first planetary gear module for transmitting a rotational speed of the drive motor to the pulsator by decreasing the rotational speed, and a second planetary gear module for transmitting the rotational speed of the drive motor to the blade by decreasing the rotational speed.

Abstract: A laundry processing apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a cabinet; a tub, arranged in the interior of the cabinet, for storing laundry water; longitudinal dampers connecting the cabinet and tub and supporting the tub as same hangs from the cabinet; upper transverse dampers, connecting the upper part of the tub and cabinet, for reducing the horizontal vibration for the tub; and lower transverse dampers, connecting the lower part of the tub and cabinet, for reducing the horizontal vibration for the tub. The laundry processing apparatus according to the present invention allows the transverse dampers coupled structures, and when vibration occurs, the transverse dampers dampen the horizontal vibration and mitigates the vertical vibration through relative motion.

Abstract: A vibration limiter of a washing machine is disclosed. The vibration limiter includes a housing installed at one of a cabinet and a tub, a contact plate disposed within the housing such that the contact plate comes into contact with the other of the cabinet and the tub when the tub vibrates, a spring for elastically supporting the contact plate, a rotating member rotatable by at least one of the spring and the contact plate, and an oil damper engaged with the rotating member. The oil damper complementarily acts with the spring, to effectively absorb vibration. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the size of the spring and to secure enhanced reliability even after prolonged use.
