Abstract: A display device including a display panel; a frame at a rear of the display panel; a light source on a substrate between the display panel and the frame, the light source providing light for the display panel; and a reflecting sheet between the display panel and the frame, the reflecting sheet having a rectangular shape with a first long side, a second long side opposite the first long side, a first short side adjacent to the first long side and the second long side, and a second short side opposite the first short side, wherein the reflecting sheet includes a first sheet part forming a central area of the reflecting sheet; a second sheet part forming a side area of the reflecting sheet around the first sheet part, the second sheet part including dot areas; and a hole next to a border line between the first sheet part and the second sheet part, wherein at least one of the dot areas in the second sheet part is formed along the first short side or the second short side, wherein the at least one of the dot areas including a first dot area next to the hole in a parallel direction of the first long side or the second long side and a second dot area next to the first dot area in a parallel direction of the first short side or the second short side, and wherein a density of dots in the first dot area is different from a density of dots in the second dot area.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel; a frame at a rear of the display panel, the frame including a bottom and a sidewall extending from the bottom; a substrate on the frame; a light source mounted on the substrate; a reflective lens mounted on the light source, wherein the lens includes an upper surface having a concave portion, a lower surface, and a side surface, and the upper surface of the reflective lens reflecting at least a first part of light emitted from the light source toward the sidewall of the frame through the side surface of the reflective lens; and a plurality of dots between the substrate and the reflective lens and configured to absorb at least a second part of light from the light source. Further, the plurality of dots are arranged around the light source and in an area within a boundary of the lower surface of the reflective lens.

Abstract: A backlight unit and a display apparatus including the same are disclosed. The backlight unit includes a support member being concave rearward so as to define an interior space, the support member including a central portion defining a central area of a rear surface of the interior space and a side portion extending outward from a peripheral edge of the central portion while being inclined forward, a plurality of light sources disposed on the central portion so as to radiate light, a plurality of lenses respectively disposed on the plurality of light sources so as to disperse light from the light sources, a reflective sheet covering front surfaces of the central portion and the side portion, and a plurality of scattering members disposed on corner portions of the reflective sheet and protruding from the reflective sheet. The display apparatus includes the backlight unit and a display panel disposed in front of the backlight unit.

Further, the first areas correspond to outermost holes among the plurality of holes, and the second areas are located between the first areas, the first areas and the second areas include a plurality of dot areas, each of the dot areas includes a plurality of dots, a size of dots included in one of the plurality of dot areas is different from a size of dots included in another of the plurality of dot areas in the first area, a size of dots included in one of the plurality of dot areas is different from a size of dots included in another of the plurality of dot areas in the second area.
