摘要： A host controller system monitors virtual machine hosts for a tuning event. Upon detecting a tuning event, the host controller system identifies at least one virtual machine potentially affected by the tuning event, and determines whether a corresponding guest operating system should be tuned (e.g., whether configuration parameters should be adjusted). 摘要： A jewelry article is described that includes a plurality of diamond settings adapted to hold a respective plurality of diamonds in a suspended position. Each of the diamond settings is connected to the article through a pair of loop rings and connecting loops. The loop rings and connecting loops facilitate oscillating motion to the diamond setting for a predefined amount of time responsive to involuntary movement or reflexes of the wearer's body. The diamond setting includes an arcuate shaped cup member that adds weight to the diamond setting to help prolong the oscillating motion of the diamond setting. The oscillating motion of the diamond setting facilitates the diamond to oscillate relative to the diamond setting without manual movement of the article from the wearer.

摘要： Systems and methods are described for securely downloading management client software onto a device from an embedded stub in the device. In one embodiment, the stub client is activated by a message with credentials from a management server. The stub client, after verification of the credentials, downloads and activates a full management client. The management client then participates in any authorized management session with the device management server. The messages are preferably encrypted using a key that is based on the credentials. The credentials may be specific to the device and to the service provider associated with the device.

摘要： A system and method for routing data between input and output ports in an ATM node of a packet-switched network allocates port capacity in accordance with the requirements of the users connected to the ports. Capacity may be allocated either dynamically in real time, according to a fixed predetermined schedule, or according to certain characteristics of the data awaiting transfer between users, such as the length or type of data. The system and method optimize the utilization of system resources by enabling ports having a physical capacity which substantially exceeds the capacity of a conventional ATM switch to be interconnected for data transfer.

The virtual machine manager is configured to receive a printer mechanism type, receive an output type, and configure the emulated printer according to the printer type, printer mechanism type, and output type. The VMM, in one embodiment, also provides a virtual communication channel over which a guest operating system may identify and communicate with the emulated printer. The guest operating system installs a printer driver corresponding to the emulated printer, prints an object to the emulated printer via the virtual communication bus, and the VMM creates a print image of the object before communicating the print image with a target destination.

A catheter advancer is slidably integrated with the base to guide advancement of a catheter linearly along the insertion plane defined by the orientation of the base.
