Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a method and a communications apparatus for hybrid automatic repeat request processing, and relate to the field of communications technologies, to help reduce the possibility that an exception occurs due to the introduction of a HARQ feedback mechanism in sidelink communication. The method includes: A first terminal device receives first sidelink grant information, a first HARQ process identifier (ID), and first indication information from a network device. If the first indication information indicates retransmission and a transport block corresponding to a first HARQ process has been successfully sent, the first terminal device ignores the first sidelink grant information.

Abstract: A sidelink resource determining method, an apparatus, and a system, to improve reliability of sidelink data transmission when a first terminal does not receive acknowledgment information for a first data packet from a second terminal. According to the method, when the first terminal determines that the first terminal does not receive the acknowledgment information that is for the first data packet and that is fed back by the second terminal, if the first terminal determines that the second terminal fails to decode the first data packet, the first terminal may determine a sidelink resource used to retransmit the first data packet, so that the first data packet can be retransmitted on the re-determined sidelink resource. In this way, reliability of sidelink transmission is improved. The solution may be applied to fields including unmanned driving, automated driving, driver assistance, intelligent driving, connected driving, intelligent network driving, car sharing, and artificial intelligence.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, to help ensure a transmission reliability and/or communication range requirement. When configuring a transmission resource of a sidelink for a terminal, a network device also configures attribute information of the transmission resource. The attribute information may indicate reliability and/or a communication range corresponding to the transmission resource. The terminal device may select a matched logical channel for the transmission resource based on the attribute information of the transmission resource and attribute information of each logical channel of the terminal device. The attribute information of the logical channel is used to indicate reliability and/or a communication range of the logical channel.

Abstract: This application provides a radio resource control (RRC) message sending method and an apparatus. According to the method, a distributed unit (DU) determines not to start an RLC polling mechanism when sending an RRC message to a terminal device, so that when sending the RRC message to UE, the DU sets a polling bit in a header of an RLC PDU carrying the RRC message to be in an inactive state. Therefore, after receiving the RRC message, the terminal device does not feed back an RLC status report to the DU. Therefore, the terminal device does not need to initiate a random access procedure to obtain an uplink transmission resource for sending the RLC status report to the DU, thereby saving random access resources.

Abstract: When cell system information changes, a first terminal device receives, during on duration of the first terminal device, system information sent by a second terminal device, so that the first terminal device can receive the system information through a sidelink between the first terminal device and the second terminal device without a need to maintain a cellular link, thereby reducing complexity and power consumption of system information transmission. Alternatively, when cell system information changes and a first terminal device has only one receive radio frequency chain, the first terminal device obtains system information within a gap period of communication between the second terminal device and the first terminal device through a link between the first terminal device and a network device, so that the first terminal device maintains a cellular link only within the gap period, thereby reducing complexity and power consumption of system information transmission to some extent.
