    Abstract: This application provides example symbol processing methods and apparatuses. One example method includes generating a first symbol in a symbol sequence, where the first symbol and a second symbol have a same first symbol component, a start location of the first symbol component in the first symbol is a start location of the first symbol, a start location of the first symbol component in the second symbol is a location at which a cyclic prefix is truncated in the second symbol, the second symbol is a next symbol adjacent to the first symbol, and the first symbol and the second symbol each has a cyclic prefix. The first symbol can then be sent.

    Abstract: A PTRS processing method includes: receiving, by a terminal, first indication information and second indication information from a network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate a time-domain location at which a PTRS is to be sent by the terminal, and the second indication information is used to indicate an offset of an initial time-domain location to which the PTRS is mapped by the terminal; mapping, by the terminal, the PTRS to one or more DFT-s-OFDM symbols based on the first indication information and the second indication information; and sending, by the terminal, the one or more DFT-s-OFDM symbols. In this way, the PTRS mapped to the DFT-s-OFDM symbol is offset at a DFT-s-OFDM symbol level.

One example method includes receiving, by a first node, first information sent by a second node, where the first information is used to determine a first transmit power, where the first transmit power is a power used when the first node sends downlink information to the second node through a first link, where the first link is a link between the first node and the second node, and where the first node is an upper-level device of the second node. The first node can then determine the first transmit power based on the first information.

    Abstract: A scheduling method implements flexible scheduling in a relay network. A method includes: determining, by a first device, information about a transmission time difference, where the transmission time difference is a time difference between a control channel of a first link and a data channel that is of the first link and that is scheduled by the control channel of the first link; notifying a second device of the information about the transmission time difference; and performing, by the second device, scheduling based on the information about the transmission time difference. In this way, the second device determines whether a resource needs to be reserved for the data channel of the first link, and it is possible that a time division resource, a frequency division resource, or a space division resource is shared for data of the first link and data of a second link.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a method for transmitting a reference signal, including: sending, by a network device to UE, information about a waveform, an antenna port, and a resource block, where the waveform includes an OFDM waveform or a DFT-s-OFDM waveform, the antenna port indicates a resource mapping pattern used by the UE to send or receive a reference signal, and in a symbol of the resource mapping pattern, a reference signal corresponding to the DFT-s-OFDM waveform is mapped in frequency domain in a comb-shaped manner, and a reference signal corresponding to the OFDM waveform is mapped to a frequency domain resource to which the DFT-s-OFDM waveform is not mapped; and sending, by the network device, the reference signal or receiving the reference signal on the resource block based on the information about the waveform, the information about the antenna port, and the information about the resource block.

    Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a communication method and an apparatus. A correspondence between a plurality of MCS indexes and a plurality of modulation schemes is provided to achieve flexible selection of a modulation scheme. In the correspondence, at least one MCS index of the plurality of MCS indexes corresponds to a set modulation schemes which comprises π/2 binary phase shift keying (π/2-BPSK) modulation and quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation. A first communication device receives a target modulation and coding scheme (MCS) index from a second communication device, determines a target modulation scheme corresponding to the target index number based on the correspondence, and performs communication with the second communication device based on the target modulation scheme.

    Abstract: A symbol processing method and apparatus are provided. The method includes: obtaining, based on a plurality of complex-valued symbols, a first set corresponding to a first transmit symbol and a second set corresponding to a second transmit symbol; performing a copy operation on the first set and the second set, so that both the first set and the second set have a first complex-valued symbol; performing signal processing on the first set and the second set; and performing phase adjustment on the first transmit symbol and/or the second transmit symbol after the signal processing, to ensure that a symbol component whose end position is the first reference point in the first transmit symbol is the same as a symbol component whose end position is the second reference point in the second transmit symbol. This application can ensure that an inter-symbol guard period is flexibly configured.
