The method includes: receiving, by user equipment UE, a non-access stratum NAS security mode command message from a mobility management entity MME, where the NAS security mode command message carries first verification matching information used to verify UE capability information received by the MIME; determining, by the UE based on the first verification matching information, whether the UE capability information received by the MME is consistent with UE capability information sent by the UE to the MIME; and if the UE capability information received by the MME is consistent with the UE capability information sent by the UE to the MME, sending, by the UE, a NAS security mode complete message to the MME.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to example SMS processing methods in an Internet of Things, mobility management network elements, and terminal devices, to provide an SMS service for an Internet of Things terminal device. One example method includes receiving, by a mobility management network element in a packet switched (PS) domain, a non-combined registration request from a terminal device, where the non-combined registration request carries SMS only indication information. When determining that the mobility management network element in the PS domain cannot transfer an SMS for the terminal device through the PS domain, the mobility management network element in the PS domain sends a location update request to a mobility management network element in a circuit switched (CS) domain The location update request is used to implement registration of the terminal device with the CS domain.
Abstract:
This disclosure discloses communication methods and apparatuses. One communication method comprises: receiving, by a terminal apparatus, a first notification, wherein the first notification comprises notification content and area information indicating a geographical area; determining, by the terminal apparatus, that the terminal apparatus is not located in the geographical area; determining, by the terminal apparatus, that the terminal apparatus enters the geographical area within a preset time period after determining that the terminal apparatus is not located in the geographical area; and in response to determining that the terminal apparatus enters the geographical area within the preset time period, indicating, by the terminal apparatus to a user, the notification content.
Abstract:
The present application discloses a DCN processing method for a PLMN that is applied to a network sharing scenario. An access feedback message of a network side is received, and selection assistance information of a DCN and an identifier of a PLMN that serves UE are obtained from the access feedback message, so as to know a PLMN that is actually accessed by the UE. A correspondence between the selection assistance information of the DCN and the identifier of the PLMN that serves the UE is stored. When the UE moves to coverage of the PLMN, a requested DCN to be accessed can be directly determined according to the correspondence, and a RAN node is requested to access the determined DCN. Therefore, a redirection process is reduced, and resource overheads are reduced.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides an access control method, user equipment, and a network device. The UE is connected to the network device, and the method includes: receiving, by the UE, access control information sent by the network device; and determining, according to obtained first application information in a service establishment request and the access control information, whether to send non-access stratum signaling to the network device, so as to determine whether a first application corresponding to the first application information is allowed to access a network. In this way, network resources are reduced.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide a service processing method, a related apparatus, and a system. The method includes: UE adds a service type indication of a service initiated by the UE to an RRC connection request and sends the RRC connection request to a base station, and adds the service type indication of the service initiated by the UE to a non-access stratum NAS request and sends the NAS request to a mobility management network element. In this way, when a network side performs congestion control or overload control, the base station may determine, according to the service type indication, that the service initiated by the UE is a voice service, a video service, or a short message service, accept the RRC connection request. Similarly, the mobility management network element may accept, according to the service type indication, the NAS request.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method for processing a downlink circuit switched service and a mobility management entity. The method includes: receiving, by an MME, a notification message sent by an MSC/VLR after the MSC/VLR is restarted, where the notification message is used to indicate a downlink CS service to the MME for user equipment (UE); when the UE is in an idle state, suspending, by the MME, a CS fallback procedure triggered by the downlink CS service; requesting, by the MME, the UE to enter a connected state; requesting, by the MME, the UE to initiate a combined location update procedure, so that the UE completes registration in a CS domain; and instructing, by the MME after the UE completes the registration in the CS domain, the UE to perform the CS fallback procedure triggered by the downlink CS service.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, a mobile switching center and a system for returning to a long term evolution network, which may prevent a UE which does not need to return to the LTE network from mistakenly returning to the LTE network. The method includes: receiving a first CSFB indication corresponding to a UE that is sent by a MME after the UE initiates CSFB, wherein the first CSFB indication is used for identifying that the UE needs to return to a LTE network after circuit service of the UE is finished; and sending, according to the first CSFB indication, a second CSFB indication corresponding to the UE to an RNC/BSC when the circuit service of the UE is finished, wherein the second CSFB indication is used for indicating that the RNC/BSC is to notify the UE of returning to the LTE network.
Abstract:
A method for processing a non-access stratum context is as follows: A terminal device sends a registration request message to a first public land mobile network PLMN. The terminal device receives a registration accept message from the first PLMN. When the terminal device deregisters from the first PLMN over a first access network, the terminal device stores, in a storage medium of the terminal device, a first PLMN identifier of the first PLMN and a first NAS security context established by the terminal device with the first PLMN. Embodiments of this application are used for a processing process of the non-access stratum context.
Abstract:
This application provides a communication method and apparatus, to separately configure, for different terminal devices in different public land mobile networks PLMNs, different policies. The method includes: A core network element receives a registration request from a terminal device, and then sends a registration response to the terminal device based on first information and/or second information, where the registration response indicates the terminal device to set the first information. The terminal device sets the first information based on the registration response. The first information indicates a selection policy that is determined by the core network element and that is of selecting a CAG by the terminal device when the terminal device accesses a first PLMN, and the second information indicates a selection policy that is determined by the core network element and that is of selecting a CAG by the terminal device when the terminal device accesses the first PLMN.
