    Abstract: An end effector assembly of a tissue resection device. The end effector assembly including a first cut guide including a first support surface that extends from a first proximal end portion to a first distal end portion including a first outer distal portion, and a second cut guide located around the first cut guide. The second cut guide having a second support surface that extends from a second proximal end portion to a second distal end portion having a second outer distal portion. The first outer distal portion located distal of the second outer distal portion and the first outer distal portion being located farther laterally from the longitudinal axis than the second outer distal portion. The end effector assembly further including a cutting device located between the first and second cut guides.

    Abstract: A stent, shunt, or plug, for at least partial insertion into a patient, can include a deformable elongated tubular body including a proximal portion and a distal portion and defining a longitudinal lumen of the tubular body therebetween. The deformable elongated body can be capable of an expanded state and a collapsed state. The tubular body can include a sheath and a plurality of magnetizable or magnetic elements for providing magnetic repulsion, after being magnetically actuated, to maintain the tubular body to maintain the expanded state.

    Abstract: A biliary diagnostic device comprises a tubular body comprising an outer wall and an internal lumen, and a biliary diagnostic sensor comprising for analyzing biological matter in contact with the tubular body. A method of guiding an endoscope to a bile duct comprises inserting the endoscope into a duodenum, engaging a sensor with biological matter, electrically analyzing biological matter with the sensor to identify an electrical parameter, identifying liver bile in the biological matter from the electrical parameter, and guiding the endoscope through the duodenum based on the bile. A method of identifying biological matter comprises engaging a medical device sensor with biological matter in a bile duct, electrically analyzing biological matter with the sensor to identify an electrical parameter, identifying biological matter from a liver, pancreas or gall bladder from the electrical parameter, and outputting indicia of the biological matter to a user of the medical device.

    Abstract: A modular endoscopy system comprises a first modular section comprising control and navigation functionality, and a patient-insertable second modular section user-detachably connectable to the first modular section via an attachment mechanism, wherein the first modular section is positionable at a proximal end section of the second modular section and is configured to steer and bend a portion of the second modular section. A method of using a modular endoscopy system comprises attaching a first modular section of to a second modular section of the modular endoscopy system, positioning a portion of the modular endoscopy system within a patient, steering a portion of the second modular section to an anatomy location of the patient via the first modular section, removing the modular endoscopy system from the patient, and detaching the second modular section from the first modular section after removal of the modular endoscopy system from the patient.
