Abstract: An end cap includes a first recess recessed from a side facing toward an electrode assembly of a battery cell and away from the electrode assembly, and a second recess recessed from a side facing away from the electrode assembly and toward the electrode assembly. A bottom wall of the second recess includes a first part and a second part surrounding the first part. The first part and a bottom wall of the first recess are opposite to each other in a thickness direction of the end cap. The end cap further includes a pressure relief portion formed between the first part and the bottom wall of the first recess, and configured to be actuated when an internal pressure of the battery cell reaches a threshold. A side of the second part facing away from the electrode assembly forms an avoidance space to avoid the pressure relief portion.
