Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for performing inter radio access technology measurements without a measurement gap in a wireless communication system. A wireless device and a cellular base station may establish a wireless link according to a first radio access technology. The cellular base station may indicate to the wireless device to perform inter radio access technology measurements. The wireless device may determine that it is capable of performing the inter radio access technology measurements without a measurement gap. The wireless device may provide capability information to the cellular base station indicating that the wireless device is capable of performing the inter radio access technology measurements without a measurement gap. Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for performing beam failure recovery in a high speed single frequency network scenario in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish a cellular link with a cellular network according to a single frequency network scheme. The wireless device may determine one or more beam failure detection resources for each of multiple transmission reception points associated with the cellular network. The wireless device may detect beam failure for one or more of the transmission reception points using the beam failure detection resources.

Abstract: Systems and methods for sidelink (SL) power control within wireless communication systems are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) selects a parameter set to use to calculate a transmit power of one or more channels to be transmitted according to an SL session with a peer UE from a plurality of parameter sets each configured for use according to a distance between the UE and the peer UE. A UE determines whether an SL pathloss based calculation is to be used to calculate a transmit power of a channel according to an SL session with a peer UE, wherein that calculation is configured to be used depending on a distance between the UE and the peer UE. UE selection of a number of physical SL feedback channel (PSFCH) transmissions to match a UE capability and determinations regarding whether to perform PSFCH reception or PSFCH transmission are also discussed.

Abstract: An example method for wireless communication includes: transmitting by a base station, to a user device in a reduced power state, resource information for receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) and tracking reference signal (TRS); transmitting the CSI-RS and TRS based on the transmitted resource information to the user device, wherein the user device has exited the reduced power state; determining whether there is paging information to transmit in a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission for the user device; transmitting a downlink control information message, wherein the downlink control information message is based on the determination that there is paging information for the user device, and wherein the user device has synchronized with the base station; and transmitting the first PDSCH transmission, based on the determination that there is paging information for the user device.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to performing beam failure recovery during an inter-cell connection involving a UE in communication with one or more base stations in a cellular communication system. In various embodiments, a user equipment determines one or more beam failures by monitoring one or more reference signals transmitted by one or more base stations, where the UE is connected to the one or more base stations. The UE further performs candidate beam detection by monitoring at least one candidate reference signal that is transmitted by one or more candidate base stations, where at least one candidate base station (a first candidate base station) is different from the one or more base stations to which the UE was previously communicating. The UE selects the first candidate base station based on the candidate beam detection, and transmits a beam failure recovery request (BFRQ) message to the first candidate base station based on the selection.

Abstract: In accordance with aspects of the present disclosure, a user equipment (UE) may receive a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission via a slot i and a sub-channel j. The UE may determine, within a resource block (RB) set k and a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) transmission occasion n, at least one interlace to use for a PSFCH transmission based at least in part on an index of the slot i, an index of the sub-channel j, a PSFCH periodicity, and a quantity of sub-channels in the RB set k. The UE may transmit the PSFCH transmission via the at least one interlace in the RB set k during the PSFCH transmission occasion n. The PSFCH transmission may include feedback for the PSSCH transmission.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for beam reporting to facilitate multiple transmission and reception points, multi-TRPs, transmission schemes. A UE may receive, from a base station a configuration to report a beam quality based on at least one of a first reporting scheme and a second reporting scheme or a configuration of measurement resources for each TRP of a plurality of TRPs. The UE may report the beam quality based on the configuration or L1 measurements for multiple beam pairs and a recommended and/or assumed transmission scheme based on the configured measurement resources. The first reporting scheme may include the UE reporting at least one L1 measurement for multiple beams and the second reporting scheme may include the UE reporting at least one L1 measurement for multiple beam pairs. The recommended and/or assumed transmission scheme may be a non-coherent-joint transmission (NC-JT) transmission scheme and/or a single frequency network (SFN) transmission scheme.

Abstract: Devices and associated methods for operating a dual-subscriber identity module (SIM) dual-standby (DSDS) user equipment device (UE) configured with a first SIM and a second SIM. The UE performs communications with a first cellular network using the first SIM and a first radio resource control (RRC) connection, and receives a request to perform a higher priority communication using the second SIM. In response to the request to perform the higher priority communication, the UE transmits a request to the first network to suspend the first RRC connection. After transmission of the request to suspend the first RRC connection, the UE receives a message from the first network to place the first RRC connection in an inactive state, and initiates a timer, wherein the timer is used to determine whether the first RRC connection remains in the inactive state or transitions to an idle state.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for providing and managing reception feedback for multicast and broadcast services (MBS). A base station (BS) may select and communicate, to a group of user equipment devices (UEs), configuration parameters for MBS communications, such as an indication of an MBS retransmission procedure for an MBS service. The BS may also transmit, to the group of UEs, an MBS data communication. A first UE may receive the MBS data communication, but may determine that the received MBS data communication is corrupted. The first UE may respond by transmitting, to the BS, a negative-acknowledgement (NACK) message. The BS may retransmit the MBS data communication either as an MBS transmission or as a unicast transmission, based on the configuration parameters. The first UE may monitor the appropriate resources to receive the retransmitted MBS data communication, based on the configuration parameters.
