摘要: A method for measuring and computing unsteady loads using unsteady pressure-sensitive paint (uPSP) data includes performing an in-situ calibration using an average of pixels of a portion of an image captured of a surface painted with pressure-sensitive paint. The method also includes dividing an average static pressure by an intensity for each region of interest (ROI) in terms of time to produce a ratioed intensity measuring an intensity fluctuation. The method further includes producing a pressure-time history from the in-situ calibration and the measured intensity fluctuation. The method also includes calculating a fluctuating force by multiplying the produced pressure-time history by an area of pixels in each ROI, and converting a time signal to a frequency, and producing a power spectral density (PSD) to compare frequency content to determine an amount of energy at a certain frequency band.

摘要: A satellite includes a fast tracking mirror (“mirror”) placed at or near center of mass (CoM) of the satellite along a line of sight between the CoMs of two satellites. The satellite also includes a detector at a distance away from the mirror. The mirror is adjusted to maintain the distance between the mirror and the detector, when a location of the detector changes due to pitch and yaw of the satellite.

摘要: Concentration of oxygen gas with electrochemical stacks arranged in series gas flow. A system includes a plurality of electrochemical stacks for extracting oxygen from an input gas, wherein the plurality of electrochemical stacks outputs oxygen gas and oxygen-reduced gas. The system includes a heat exchanger in fluid communication with the plurality of electrochemical stacks, wherein the heat exchanger consumes the input gas and the oxygen-reduced gas, and wherein the heat exchanger transfers heat from the oxygen-reduced gas to the input gas. The system includes a mechanical blower for driving the input gas into the heat exchanger. The system is such that the plurality of electrochemical stacks are organized in series gas flow.

摘要: A method of recycling a polymer structure includes converting a first polymer structure into feedstock. The first polymer structure comprises particles that are bonded to one another by chemical click bonds to form a first shape. The first polymer structure is converted into feedstock particles by breaking the click bonds. The feedstock particles are formed into a second shape, and the feedstock particles are chemically click-bonded together to form a second polymer structure having a second shape. Breaking the click bonds may include heating the particles. The structures may be formed by causing first particles having dienes to chemically bond to dienophiles of second particles.

摘要: The present invention relates to a novel rotator for a standardized coarse azimuth-pointing system for a balloon-borne platform—either zero pressure or Super Pressure Balloons (SPB)—with a maximum suspended payload of 5,500 lbs. The 5.5K Rotator novel shaft design, bearings, motor, and housing, result in a weight of the rotator being decreased by 33% from existing legacy rotators. The present invention achieved a 24% parts reduction from existing legacy rotators, and has the advantages of lighter weight, reusability, cost-effectiveness, machinability, and ease of assembly.

The 1U CubeSat payload form-factor multi-purpose architecture includes a backplane having a plurality of slots, one of the plurality of slots which accommodates the single-board processor card, wherein the backplane routes signals to a plurality of standard-sized processor cards, interchangeably disposed in any of the plurality of slots.

The propellers rotate in a first direction and define an angular phase relative to one another. A drive system corotates the propellers at substantially equal rotational rates in the first direction.
