Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may operate in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The UE may receive one or more synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) over a serving single frequency network (SFN) for a first notification zone, wherein the first notification zone comprises a plurality of cells. The UE may perform a channel measurement procedure using the received one or more SSBs. The UE may determine, based at least in part on a result of the channel measurement procedure, that a channel performance metric for the serving SFN of the first notification zone fails to satisfy a threshold. The UE may perform a cell reselection procedure to identify a cell of a neighboring SFN for a second notification zone that has a channel performance metric satisfying the threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which a user equipment (UE) may be configured with periodic uplink grants that provide a number of repetitions and a redundancy version (RV) sequence for the repetitions. Prior to the start of an uplink grant period, the UE may determine a set of slots that are available for uplink transmissions in the uplink grant period. Based on the set of slots, the UE may determine a corresponding RV for repetitions of the uplink communication associated with each slot. The slots with uplink transmissions within the uplink grant period may be non-contiguous. Repetitions of an uplink communication may be configured to be transmitted across multiple uplink grant periods, which may be triggered based on a threshold value associated with the repetitions.

Abstract: A first UE may schedule a first sidelink transmission and a second sidelink transmission. A first DMRS associated with the first sidelink transmission and a second DMRS associated with the second sidelink transmission may be bundled for channel estimation associated with a second UE. The first UE may schedule a first uplink transmission. The first uplink transmission may be TDMed or FDMed with at least one of the first sidelink transmission or the second sidelink transmission. The first UE may transmit at least one of the first sidelink transmission, the second sidelink transmission, or the first uplink transmission. The bundling of the first DMRS and the second DMRS may be maintained or canceled.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a first device to secure transmission of polar encoded control information by encoding at least a portion of frozen bits and/or information bits with a shared key with a second device before these bits are encoded by a polar encoder. The first device determines whether to encode at least one of a plurality of frozen bits or a plurality of information bits using the shared key. Based on the determination, the first device encodes the frozen bits and/or the information bits, and sends the encoded frozen bits and/or the encoded information bits to the second device. Since the receiving device has the shared key, the receiving device may successfully decode the control information, while an eavesdropper who receives the encoded bits may fail to decode the control information due to lack of knowledge of the shared key.
