Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network receives a path computation agent configured to determine a path in the network that satisfies an objective function. The device executes the path computation agent to update state information regarding the network maintained by the path computation agent. The device selects a neighbor of the device in the network to execute the path computation agent based on the updated state information regarding the network. The device instructs the selected neighbor to execute the path computation agent with the updated state information regarding the network. The device unloads the path computation agent from the device after selecting the neighbor of the device to execute the path computation agent.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device receives health status data indicative of a health status of a data source in a network that provides collected telemetry data from the network for analysis by a machine learning-based network analyzer. The device maintains a performance model for the data source that models the health of the data source. The device computes a trustworthiness index for the telemetry data provided by the data source based on the received health status data and the performance model for the data source. The device adjusts, based on the computed trustworthiness index for the telemetry data provided by the data source, one or more parameters used by the machine learning-based network analyzer to analyze the telemetry data provided by the data source.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network identifies one or more traffic classes used by one or more nodes in the network. The device determines routing requirements for a particular traffic class of the one or more traffic classes. The device generates a channel assignment that assigns the particular traffic class to a particular channel based on the routing requirements for the particular traffic class. The device provides the channel assignment to the one or more nodes. The one or more nodes use the channel assignment to route traffic of the particular traffic class within the network.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network receives data regarding a plurality of predefined health status rules that evaluate one or more observed conditions of the network. The device retrieves network data associated with the indicated connection between the endpoint node and the conferencing service. The device uses a machine learning model to predict an experience metric for the endpoint node based on the network data associated with the indicated connection between the endpoint node and the conferencing service. The device causes the endpoint node to use a different connection to the conferencing service based on the predicted experience metric.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a sender in a shared-communication network determines whether a pending frame is low-latency or high-throughput, and sets a maximum transmission unit (MTU) of the pending frame as a first MTU in response to a low-latency frame and a longer second MTU in response to a high-throughput frame. In another embodiment, a receiver receives a data frame from a sender according to an MTU, and determines a trigger for adjusting the MTU based on latency requirements. In response to the trigger, the receiver sets an interrupt flag in a link-layer acknowledgment for the received data frame. In still another embodiment, a sender determines a pending low-latency data frame to send to a receiver operating according to an MTU, and sends a control message to the receiver to indicate the pending low-latency data frame and an adjusted MTU.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a network identifies a routing domain migration candidate node in a first routing domain that is in range of a second routing domain. The device determines that the second routing domain is able to accommodate the candidate node sending traffic via the second routing domain. The device determines that the candidate node should send traffic via the second routing domain, based in part on a determination that the second routing domain is able to accommodate the candidate node sending traffic via the second routing domain. The device causes the candidate node to send traffic via the second routing domain.
