Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to configuring transmission configuration states in wireless communications. A capability of a number of transmission configuration states supported for detecting downlink beamformed signals can be indicated. One or more configurations of active transmission configuration states can be received from at least an access point and based on the capability. The one or more configurations can be processed to determine the active transmission configuration states, where at least one of the active transmission configuration states in the one or more configurations corresponds to a distinct state of a given reference signal. One or more downlink beamformed signals received from the access point can be detected based on processing the one or more configurations.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) port is to be shared among a plurality of physical downlink shared channels (PDSCHs) transmitted by a plurality of transmit receive points (TRPs); receive PTRS pilot signals on one or more PDSCHs of the plurality of PDSCHs; and use the PTRS pilot signals for phase tracking estimation for the plurality of PDSCHs based at least in part on the determination that the PTRS port is to be shared among the plurality of PDSCHs. Abstract: An apparatus may determine a beam configuration for a data transmission that includes at least one code block in a first resource block. In certain aspects, the at least one code block may include a first set of bits and a second set of bits. In certain aspects, the beam configuration may include a first beam in a first beam direction that may be used to communicate the first set of bits of the at least one code block in a first set of symbols of the first resource block and a second beam in a second beam direction that is used to communicate the second set of bits of the at least one code block in the second set of symbols of the first resource block. The apparatus may transmit signaling that indicates the beam configuration for the data transmission in the first resource block to a UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine, during a multi-slot downlink transmission, that a mapping from a transmission configuration information (TCI) state index to a first TCI state configuration has changed to a second TCI state configuration. The UE may select, based at least in part on the determined change, the first TCI state configuration or the second TCI state configuration to use for at least a portion of the multi-slot downlink transmission. The UE may receive the multi-slot downlink transmission during one or more slots according to the selected TCI state configuration and the TCI state index.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may be configured to communicate a number of transmissions that may each have separate feedback processes. A feedback configuration for providing feedback for such separate feedback processes may be determined based on semi-static signaling and dynamic signaling. In some cases, semi-static signaling, such as radio resource control (RRC) signaling and dynamic signaling, such as downlink control information (DCI), may together provide a feedback configuration for a particular transmission. The semi-static signaling may provide a number of bits of feedback information, an interpretation of the bits of feedback information, or combinations thereof, and dynamic signaling may indicate that one or more of the bits are to have one of a number of available interpretations, may indicate that one or more additional bits are to be included with feedback, of combinations thereof. These feedback techniques may be used to provide feedback for uplink or downlink transmissions.

A user equipment (UE) may receive an indicator of a feedback window that is offset relative to a beginning transmission time interval (TTI) of a set of consecutive TTIs. The consecutive TTIs may include a set of aggregated slots or may correspond to a multi-TTI grant. The feedback window may include multiple control channel occasions interspersed within a duration of the set of consecutive TTIs. The UE may receive a transport block within a first TTI of the set of consecutive TTIs and transmit, within a control channel, feedback to indicate whether the transport block was successfully received.
