    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device may determine that a threshold is satisfied with regard to a search space set mapping, for a plurality of search space sets, for a slot of a downlink control channel, wherein the threshold relates to at least one of: a slot-based control channel element limit, or a slot-based blind decode limit; and perform a mapping of or monitor a subset of search space set occasions, of a search space set of the plurality of search space sets, in the slot in connection with determining that the threshold is satisfied. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a subband configuration for a plurality of subbands configured for the UE, the subband configuration including one or more guard bands for the plurality of subbands.     Abstract: A base station may access a channel following a successful channel access procedure. The base station may transmit an indication of a resource allocation to a user equipment (UE). The resource allocation may include an allocation of resources for subsequent communications between the base station and the UE, for example, defining a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) during which the UE may transmit repetitions of uplink control information. The UE may also perform a channel access procedure to access the channel. The UE may transmit repetitions of the uplink control information using the set of TTIs according to the resource configuration. In some cases, the UE may stop transmitting uplink control information repetitions after a maximum number repetitions also according to the resource configuration. The base station may then receive and combine the uplink control information.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described, which may be employed for wireless communication in contention-based (e.g., unlicensed or shared) spectrum. An aperiodic channel state information (CSI) reference signals (RS) may be used for channel quality indicator (CQI) measurements, for example. A user equipment (UE) may receive signaling to indicate the presence of CSI RS and may receive the CSI RS according to the signaling. The UE may then compute a CQI based on CSI RS, and transmit the CQI in a report to a base station. In some examples, a quasi-periodic CSI RS is used. For instance, the UE may determine a different location for the CSI RS. For example, the UE may identify a periodic anchor subframe, and locate the CSI RS based on constant offset from the anchor subframe. Periodic or a clear-channel-assessment-exempt transmission based CSI RS examples are also described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may connect with a base station over a set of component carriers according to a carrier aggregation configuration. The UE may then monitor a search space configured for scheduling multiple component carriers and may receive downlink control information (DCI) based on monitoring the search space. The DCI may include a carrier indicator field (CIF) and may schedule a set of data transmissions over two or more component carriers (e.g., from the set of component carriers). The UE may determine that the two or more component carriers include the first component carrier and the second component carrier based on the monitored search space, the CIF within the DCI, or both. The UE may then transmit and receive the set of data transmissions over the first and second component carriers.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station over a set of component carriers according to a carrier aggregation configuration. In some cases, the UE may receive an indication of one or more groups of units, where each group may include one or more component carriers and/or one or more time intervals of each component carrier. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) including one or more fields that are common to a group of units that may schedule a set of data transmissions over the one or more groups of units such that the single DCI may schedule multiple component carriers (e.g., two or more) over one or more time intervals. The UE may transmit or receive the set of data transmissions (e.g., uplink or downlink data transmissions) over the scheduled units based on receiving the DCI.
