    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may identify a first signal in a time domain, the first signal including multiple sequences spanning a bandwidth for multiple symbol periods. The transmitting device may segment the first signal into signal segments, where each signal segment corresponds to a respective symbol period of the multiple symbol periods. The transmitting device may apply a first transform operation to each signal segment of the signal segments and apply a bandwidth restriction in the frequency domain to the transformed signal segments. Then, the transmitting device may apply a second transform operation to each transformed signal segment to return the bandwidth-restricted segments to the time domain. The transmitting device may generate a second signal in the time domain based on the bandwidth-restricted segments. The transmitting device may then transmit the second signal to a receiving device.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may transmit a random access message (e.g., a message 3) associated with a random access procedure. A hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback may be disabled for the random access procedure. The UE may initiate a contention resolution window associated with the random access procedure for a first downlink data channel transmission of a set of downlink data channel transmissions associated with the random access procedure. The UE may receive, during the contention resolution window, the first downlink data channel transmission carrying a contention resolution medium access control-control element (MAC-CE). The UE may transmit acknowledgment information for the first downlink data channel transmission carrying the contention resolution MAC-CE based on an indication to enable the HARQ feedback.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Transport blocks may be scheduled using a single downlink control information (DCI) message. A wireless device may identify mapping pattern for mapping the transport blocks and repetitions of the transport blocks to communication resources. Mapping the transport blocks, or determining a mapping of the transport blocks, to communication resources may include partitioning the communication resources into subunits, where each subunit includes resources spread across each subband of a frequency hopping pattern and at least one instance of each of the scheduled transport blocks.

    Abstract: A resynchronization signal (RSS) may extend across multiple physical resource blocks (PRBs) or subframes, which may cause the RRS to be scheduled to overlap with other downlink transmissions. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for management of RSS and one or more other transmission types that may have overlapping wireless resources with the RSS. If one or more other downlink transmissions are scheduled for resources that overlap with resources scheduled for an RSS transmission, the UE may receive the RSS transmission or the one or more other downlink transmissions, or a combination thereof, based on a prioritization of the transmission types of the one or more other downlink transmissions relative to RSS. The RSS transmission or the one or more other transmissions may be delayed, dropped, punctured, or rate-matched when the RSS transmission and the one or more other downlink transmissions conflict.
