Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, components, devices, and systems for reconfiguring link characteristics while maintaining links. Some aspects more specifically relate to a first and second wireless communication device establishing a plurality of wireless communication links that are based on or associated with a set of characteristics such as capabilities of the first and second wireless communication devices and association parameters. The first wireless communication device may transmit, to the second wireless communication device, a request to update one of the characteristics while maintaining each wireless communication link of the plurality of wireless communication links. The second wireless communication device may transmit a response to the request that includes an indication about updating the characteristic. Then if the response includes an indication to update the characteristic, the first and second wireless communication devices may communicate according to the updated characteristic.

Abstract: A wireless station (STA) operating as a non-simultaneous transmit-receive (NSTR) soft access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) is associated with a primary link and a non-primary link. The NSTR softAP MLD transmits, on only the primary link, a frame including a complete profile of the primary link and indicating a complete profile of the non-primary link. The respective complete profiles of the primary link and the non-primary link each include capabilities, operation parameters, and other discovery information. The frame can include fields and elements that carry the complete profile of the primary link, and can include a multi-link (ML) element that indicates the complete profile of the non-primary link. The NSTR softAP MLD can receive or determine an update to the operation parameters of the non-primary link, and can transmit, on the primary link, an indication of the update to the operation parameters of the non-primary link.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for high frequency multi-link support systems operation. In some aspects, an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD) and a non-AP MLD may use a first radio frequency link to support and facilitate communications using a second radio frequency link, where such a second radio frequency link may otherwise be associated with access constraints or difficulties. For example, the first radio frequency link may be a sub-7 gigahertz (GHz) link and the second radio frequency link may be a 3.5 GHz, 45 GHz, or 60 GHz link. The AP MLD may transmit, to the non-AP MLD via the first radio frequency link, identifying and control information associated with the second radio frequency link. The non-AP MLD and the AP MLD may use the identifying and control information to communicate data via the second radio frequency link.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communications. A wireless device may advertise communication parameters for a particular frequency band over another frequency band. In one example, a wireless device generates multi-band wrapper information element or a neighbor report information element, which may include one or more subelements, each conveying communication information for a particular frequency band. The wireless device may include the multi-band wrapper information element or the neighbor report information element in a management frame and may transmit the management frame over a first frequency band. Another wireless device may receive the management frame over the first frequency band and may obtain the communication information for other frequency bands from the included multi-band wrapper information element. In some cases, a subelement carries communication information that is sufficient for the receiving device to directly associate with the transmitting device over the other frequency bands.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for synchronized channel access. Some implementations more specifically relate to facilitating coexistence among wireless communication devices that support synchronized channel access and those that do not. A group of access points may schedule periodically recurring, synchronized channel access periods by periodically transmitting quiet elements. The quiet elements establish recurring quiet periods during which legacy devices are not permitted to transmit. In some implementations, an access point may transmit one or more quiet override elements each associated with a respective quiet element and indicating to other access points supporting synchronized channel access that they are permitted to contend for access during the respective quiet period. In some other implementations of synchronized channel access, an access point supporting synchronized channel access that wins contention after one or more consecutive synchronized channel access periods during which no other synchronized access points won contention, may be entitled to an extended TXOP.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some aspects, two devices may support signaling and messaging designs that support bandwidths that are greater than 160 MHz for ranging null data packets (NDPs). For example, various signaling and messaging designs may support a use of a 320 MHz bandwidth for ranging NDPs as part of a ranging measurement procedure, which may offer greater resolution than narrower bandwidths. The signaling and messaging designs may include one or more updates for a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame, for a trigger frame, for session negation messages (such as one or both of an initial fine timing measurement (IFTM) frame and an IFTM request (IFTMR) frame), for segmentation techniques for ranging NDPs, or for any combination thereof.
