    Abstract: The exemplary embodiments relate to user equipment (UE) monitoring one or more downlink reference signals for uplink power control. The UE may receive an indication that a downlink reference signal is assigned to the UE for a first operation. The first operation is uplink power control for an uplink signal. The UE then determines whether the UE is configured to monitor the downlink reference signal for a second different operation. When the UE is configured to monitor the downlink reference signal for the second different operation, the UE configures the downlink reference signal to be a pathloss reference signal that is to be used for the first operation.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may perform configured to perform layer 1 (L1) measurements and layer 3 (L3) measurements. The UE receives a first configuration for layer 1 (L1) measurements of a resource set comprising a plurality of reference signals (RS) and a second configuration for layer 3 (L3) measurements, the first configuration including periodic measurement occasions and a reporting periodicity for transmitting measurement reports comprising the L1 measurements, determines the L3 measurements collide with at least one of the plurality of RSs for the L1 measurements, wherein the colliding causes a determination of the L1 measurements to be muted for the at least one RS during at least one of the measurement occasions and alters at least a first measurement report so that the L1 measurements that collide with the L3 measurements are not reported in at least one reporting periodicity.

    Abstract: Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for a use equipment (UE) to determine, based on a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state, a sensing beam to wirelessly communicate with a base station over a channel in an unlicensed spectrum. The UE can receive, using a receiving beam, control information including a TCI state, determine a sensing beam indicated by the TCI state included in the control information, sense a channel occupancy of the channel between the UE and the base station by performing Clear Channel Assessment using the sensing beam. Furthermore, the UE can determine, based on the channel occupancy, whether the channel is free to be utilized for communication by the UE using the sensing beam.
