Abstract: Enhanced transmission opportunities are disclosed for sounding reference signals (SRS). The enhancements may provide more flexibility in scheduling SRS transmission and more SRS transmission opportunities. An additional offset may be defined and dynamically communicated to a user equipment (UE) to use either to override or in additional to a semi-statically communicated standard offset when scheduling the SRS transmission opportunity based on an SRS trigger slot or another granted slot. The UE may further treat each combination of timing information as a separate SRS opportunity or may define a window between two signaled timing offsets within which the UE may attempt SRS transmissions.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communications and more specifically for handling hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes with discontinuous reception (DRX) operations. In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) may use a timer to maintain an ON duration in a DRX cycle based on receiving a downlink control information (DCI) message with a data-to-feedback timing indicator (for example, a K1 value) indicating a non-numeric value for a data message. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message with feedback timing for the data message based on maintaining the ON duration. In some other implementations, a UE may use a timer to maintain an ON duration following a feedback opportunity to support dynamic group-based HARQ messaging. For example, the UE may receive a DCI message requesting a retransmission of feedback information based on maintaining the ON duration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A wireless device may receive a scheduling indicator on a first instance of a control channel. The wireless device may determine that a data transmission is scheduled for the wireless device based at least in part on the received scheduling indicator. The wireless device may identify a first frequency band associated with the data transmission and a second frequency band associated with a second instance of the control channel. The wireless device may identify a third frequency band to monitor based at least in part on the first and second frequency bands and a bandwidth capability of the wireless device. The third frequency band includes the first frequency band. The third frequency band comprises an associated bandwidth that is based at least in part on the bandwidth capability of the wireless device.

Abstract: Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) feedback enhancements are disclosed for new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U). In the downlink control channel, two sets of identifiers (IDs) may be explicitly or implicitly signaled. The two IDs identify a current set ID and an additional set ID. Where the two IDs match, then the ACK feedback transmitted in the current ACK message will reflect the current transmissions. Otherwise, where the two IDs are different, the additional set ID identifies any previous or different ACK information that should be transmitted for prior transmissions.

Abstract: The described techniques provide for efficiently contending for access to a shared radio frequency spectrum for communicating on multiple allocated sub-bands across multiple carriers. As described herein, a user equipment (UE) may first identify allocated sub-bands across multiple carriers in a shared radio frequency spectrum. The UE may then select a carrier and at least one of the multiple allocated sub-bands within the carrier on which to perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure of a first type, and the UE may perform the LBT procedure of the first type on the at least one sub-band. In addition, the UE may also perform LBT procedures of a second type on allocated sub-bands within carriers different from the selected carrier. Based on the results of the LBT procedures, the UE may communicate with the base station on the allocated sub-bands across the multiple carriers in the shared radio frequency spectrum.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a base station transmitting to a user equipment (UE) a partial bandwidth configuration for uplink transmissions, where the partial bandwidth configuration may indicate a channel interlace and a portion of a channel bandwidth, for example, for autonomous uplink (AUL) transmissions. The base station may also transmit to the UE an AUL configuration including a group identifier. The UE may determine a starting offset with respect to an AUL subframe for a partial bandwidth transmission based on the group identifier. In some cases, different UEs may be grouped into groups of UEs allocated non-overlapping resources, and UEs allocated overlapping resources may have different starting offsets to begin transmitting. According to the determined starting offset, the UE may perform the partial bandwidth transmission over the channel interlace and the portion of the channel bandwidth.

Abstract: Various procedures associated with autonomous uplink (AUL) are disclosed. In order to address the mismatch between listen before talk (LBT) and AUL bandwidth a fractional sensing channel is defined less than 20 MHz. Accordingly, a user equipment (UE) may use the fractional sensing channel to perform LBT only on the resources allocated for AUL. Contention window update may further be modified for transmissions spanning multiple transmission opportunities (TxOPs). A contention window update may occur over all transmission channels considering full acknowledgement information of each TxOP, a percentage of acknowledgement information weighted on the number of channels, a percentage of acknowledgement information weighted on the ratio of resources on each channel, or by selecting a primary channel of the multiple channels for the contention window update. In repetition scenarios, the reference transmission for contention window updates may be selected depending on whether all repetitions are within one or multiple TxOPs.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related user multiplexing with discrete Fourier transform (DFT) precoded frequency interlaces are provided. A first wireless communication device identifies a first block-spreading code from a set of block-spreading codes associated with user multiplexing. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device using a frequency interlace in a frequency spectrum, a first communication signal including a first block of information symbols spread across a set of resource blocks (RBs) within the frequency interlace based on the first block-spreading code. The first communication signal is generated by block-spreading the first block of information symbols based on the first block-spreading code to produce a first block of spread information symbols, performing a DFT on the first block of spread information symbols, and mapping the first block of spread information symbols to the set of RBs.
