    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, an indication of first level shared information, that is shared between at least the first UE and a second UE, for deriving a security key from common sidelink information. The first UE may determine second level shared information, that is shared between the first UE and the second UE, for deriving the security key from the common sidelink information. The first UE may communicate with the second UE using the security key derived from the common sidelink information based at least in part on the first level shared information and the second level shared information. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. One or more second user equipments (UEs) may determine to communicate with a third UE and perform route discovery techniques based on a sidelink relay operation. The third UE may determine to utilize a first UE to facilitate communicating with the third UE. The second UEs may transmit control signaling to the first UE indicating a request for one or more temporary identifications assigned to the second UEs, the third UE, or both. The first UE may generate the one or more temporary identifications and transmit the one or more temporary identifications to the second UEs and the third UE. The first UE may relay further communications associated with an end-to-end (E2E) link that include the one or more temporary identifications in a sidelink relay adaptation protocol (SRAP) header.

Vehicle alerting may provide messages alerting other vehicles and/or network components to instances of autonomous driving disengagement.     Abstract: A sidelink-based positioning session is initiated by a user equipment (UE) with an indication that the positioning session will be a unicast session using a single protocol design that supports both Long-Term Evolution (LTE) and New Radio deployments. An initiator UE may provide an explicit indication to a target UE that the sidelink positioning session will be unicast using a unicast flag in an initial sidelink positioning initiation message or in a direct link establishment request message. The initiator UE may provide an implicit indication to a target UE that the sidelink positioning session will be unicast by initiating an Authentication & Security procedure, e.g., by sending a direct link authentication request, after sending the initial sidelink positioning initiation message.

    Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine a set of one or more parameters for sidelink ranging sessions among session participants comprising a session initiator and at least one session responder, wherein the set of one or more parameters comprises: a first parameter indicating a first duration of time that a sidelink ranging session initiator allocates to receive, from a session responder, a response to a session request; and a second parameter indicating a second duration of time that a session responder allocates to receive a session confirmation from a session initiator after issuing, to the session initiator, a response to a session request. The UE may establish a sidelink ranging session according to the set of one or more parameters.
