Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for buffer status reporting associated with a sidelink between the first UE and a second UE and a link between the first UE and a base station; generate a buffer status report (BSR) based at least in part on the configuration, wherein the BSR includes buffer reporting information for one or more logical channels on the sidelink between the first UE and the second UE, and buffer reporting information for one or more logical channels on the link between the first UE and the base station; and provide the BSR to the base station. In some aspects, a relay user equipment may receive or determine configuration information for a sidelink between the relay UE and a remote UE, wherein the configuration information indicates one or more parameters associated with at least one of a priority level or a quality of service value associated with the sidelink; receive or determine association information indicating that a logical channel on a radio access link is associated with a logical channel on the sidelink, wherein the association information is based at least in part on the one or more parameters for the sidelink; and relay traffic between the remote UE and a base station via the sidelink and the radio access link in accordance with the association information. Abstract: Aspects are provided that allow a base station to provide a user equipment (UE) multiple timing opportunities to transmit an acknowledgment to a pre-grant (APG) after receiving a pre-grant for a downlink transmission. The base station transmits to the UE a pre-grant for a downlink transmission from the base station, the pre-grant triggering a plurality of timing opportunities for the UE to send an APG to the base station. The UE performs, after receiving the pre-grant, a clear channel assessment (CCA) during at least one timing opportunity of the plurality of timing opportunities. The UE transmits one or more APGs to the base station when the CCA is successful, and the UE receives the downlink transmission from the base station in response to the one or more APGs. The UE transmits the one or more APGs to the base station until the downlink transmission is received from the base station.

Abstract: Aspects are provided which improve LBT by associating contention windows with transmission burst lengths and by allowing contention windows and maximum burst lengths to be adjusted based on interference activity. For downlink, a UE receives a PG for a downlink transmission from a base station indicating a CCA length based on a contention window size associated at least with a burst length for the downlink transmission. The UE performs, after receiving the pre-grant, a CCA based on the CCA length, transmits an APG to the base station when the CCA is successful, and receives the downlink transmission in response to the APG. For uplink, the base station performs a CCA based on a contention window associated at least with a burst length for an uplink transmission, transmits an uplink grant to the UE when the CCA is successful, and receives the uplink transmission in response to the uplink grant.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Discontinuous reception (DRX) operation may be configured differently on enhanced component carriers (eCCs) than on other component carriers, including a primary cell (PCell). In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may be configured with several different eCC DRX modes. An eCC DRX configuration may, for example, be coordinated with downlink (DL) transmission time interval (TTI) scheduling so each DRX ON duration may correspond to a DL burst duration of the corresponding eCC. The eCC DRX ON durations may also be scheduled according to hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process scheduling. In some examples, eCC DRX ON durations may be based on listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures. In some cases, eCC DRX ON durations may be configured to contain an uplink (UL) burst to enable channel state information (CSI) reporting. The eCC DRX may also be configured to minimize interruption of the PCell.

A method that may be performed by a first base station (BS) includes occupying a bandwidth, based on a category 4 (CAT4) listen before talk (LBT) procedure on the bandwidth, wherein the CAT4 LBT procedure is based on a first contention window (CW); arranging a category 2 (CAT2) LBT occasion for the bandwidth during a channel occupancy time (COT) for the bandwidth; and receiving an indication that at least a second BS has occupied the bandwidth during the CAT2 LBT occasion.
