Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may select one or more sub-bands, of a plurality of sub-bands in a wideband structure of an unlicensed spectrum, for processing in association with receiving a reference signal. The one or more sub-bands may include at least one valid sub-band of a set of valid sub-bands in which the reference signal is received. The user equipment may process the one or more sub-bands in association with receiving the reference signal. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Techniques and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for staggering sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in frequency across multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, which may allow multiple UEs to transmit SRS using a common listen-before-talk (LBT) gap for a LBT procedure. The techniques also provide for transmitting an SRS across multiple OFDM symbols using same frequency resources, and an orthogonal cover code (OCC) may be applied to the SRS transmission of each OFDM symbol, which may allow multiple UEs to transmit concurrent SRS using a common LBT gap.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for group reference signal triggering for contention-based systems. The described techniques may enable a network node to trigger a group of one or more user equipments (UEs) to transmit a reference signal to the network node. The network node may transmit a group common control channel indicating timing information or configuration information corresponding to a set of resources for the transmission of the reference signal. Abstract: Techniques are described herein for improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support procedures for configured grants. Generally, the described techniques may relate to restricting a number of retransmissions used during a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process or managing potential scheduling conflicts for the HARQ process from dynamic grants and configured grants. A device (e.g., a user equipment) may initiate a timer or a counter associated with a HARQ process for indicating that transmission attempts for the HARQ process are permitted. The device may identify a transmission occasion of a configured grant in an unlicensed frequency spectrum band that is associated with the HARQ process and may determine that the timer associated with the HARQ process is active. The device may perform a transmission attempt over the transmission occasion of the configured grant based on determining that the timer is active.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for managing sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in shared radio frequency spectrum. Described techniques provide for increased occasions at which a SRS may be transmitted, enhance likelihood of a successful listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, or any combinations thereof. Increased occasions for SRS may be provided through multiple transmission times that are available in the event of an earlier LBT failure. Enhanced likelihood of successful LBT may be provided through one or more timing offsets that may be randomly selected from a set of available timing offsets, selection of a cyclic prefix length for a SRS based on whether the SRS transmission is within or outside of a channel occupancy time of a base station, providing an initial SRS transmission time for an initial periodic time interval, triggering of an aperiodic SRS within the channel occupancy time, or any combinations thereof.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that facilitate feedback for transmissions or retransmissions, such as hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgment/negative-acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) feedback reports. A UE may report feedback for regular downlink transmission and semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) transmissions in one or more group-based acknowledgment feedback reports, in which SPS transmissions are associated with a group for providing the feedback report and any retransmissions of the feedback report. Acknowledgment feedback reports may also indicate new data indicator values according to a predetermined value for SPS transmissions in one-shot feedback reports.

Abstract: A base station may configure a set of autonomous uplink (AUL) resources for a specific base station receive beam, or the AUL resources may be configured for specific user equipment (UEs) or user groups. Additionally, the AUL resources may be configured to include a sensing portion, a data portion, or both. As an example, a UE may receive an AUL configuration that includes an indication of a set of AUL resources that are specific to a base station receive beam. The UE may then determine that the set of AUL resources is available and perform an AUL transmission of uplink data using the set of beam-specific AUL resources. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may perform the AUL transmission with respective portions that include a sensing signal and the uplink data. The base station may use the sensing signal to determine a receive beam on which to receive the uplink data.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to uplink (UL) communications in a wireless network are provided. In some instances, a wireless communication device is configured to: transmit, to a second wireless communication device, a transmission grant indicating a transmission period; transmit a configuration indicating a plurality of reference signal symbols within the transmission period and an association between a plurality of starting locations and the plurality of reference signal symbols; monitor, in response to the transmission grant, for a communication signal from the second wireless communication device in the transmission period; and identify, upon detection of the communication signal, a starting location of the communication signal from among the plurality of starting locations within the transmission period.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a control channel resource configuration associated with an unlicensed spectrum, wherein the control channel resource configuration is associated with an indication of whether a resource to be used for an uplink control channel in the unlicensed spectrum is a fixed resource, a floating resource, or an adaptive resource. The UE may identify the resource based at least in part on the control channel resource configuration. The UE may transmit uplink control information on the identified resource.
