Abstract: Computer-implemented method and system (100) for enhancing a plant image database (230) for improved damage identification on plants. The system receives a real-world image (91) of a plant (11), recorded at a particular geographic location (2), together with image metadata comprising location data (LD1) indicating the particular geographic location (2), and a time stamp (TS1) indicating the point in time (3) when the real-world image (91) was recorded. A damage identifier (110), trained for identifying damage classes associated with damage symptoms present on plants of particular plant species, generates, from the real-world image (91), an output including a damage class (DC1) for the damage symptoms on the real-world image. A similarity checker (120) determines feature similarities of the real-world image with selected images (232, 233, 234, 235) in a plant image database (230), and further identifies at least a subset (230s) of the selected images having a feature similarity with the real-world image exceeding a minimum similarity value (124). The generated damage class (DC1) and the images of the subset (230s) with respective damage classes and plant species identifier are provided to a user (9). In response, the system receives from the user (9) a confirmed damage class (CDC1) for the real-world image (91). A database updater (140) of the system updates the plant image database (230) by storing the received real-world image (91) together with its plant species identifier, its location data, its time stamp and the confirmed damage class.

Abstract: A system for collecting fake identification documents includes a central controller coupled to scanners and external systems. The scanners scan identification documents and report images of fake or suspected fake identification documents to the central controller. Documents may be automatically detected as fake by matching against known fake ID templates or by detecting that information extracted from the document appears manufactured or incorrect. Documents may also be manually flagged as suspicious by scanner operators either on-the-fly during routine scanning or in batch operations. Scanned documents may further be sent from scanner to central controller during audit events. The central controller enables human review if desired, and, when reported documents are confirmed to be fake, images of the fake IDs along with metadata thereof are added to a fake ID database. The external systems are then notified and may retrieve fake ID templates from the database for a variety of applications.

Abstract: Aspects of the example implementations are directed to methods, systems and apparatuses associated with processing of images associated with objects in a view of one or more cameras co-located in a space. The example implementations may be directed to estimating a physical distance between a first person and a second person (e.g., customers) in a camera view; detecting an interest in a section (e.g., shelf) by the first person or second person; estimating relative distances between views of the one or more cameras, to determine which camera views are overlapping and non-overlapping; and detecting static objects (e.g., false positives) that may appear similar to a customer, such as posters of people, mannequins, or the like, and removing the static objects from the processed images.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, apparatus, article of manufacture, method and/or computer program product embodiments, and/or combinations and sub-combinations thereof, for ad insertion by a display device coupled to a media device via a high-definition media interface (HDMI) connection, where the media device provides media content and/or a control signal. When the media device pauses the media content, the display device can determine that a pause event has occurred and insert an ad shown on the display device. Further, some embodiments include determining the context and/or content of the media content that is paused, and determining an ad that is customized to the determined context and/or content to be displayed on the display device. In some embodiments, the display device can determine additional information from the control signal that may also be used to determine the ad to be displayed on the display device.

Abstract: A system comprising a database and a user device. The database may be configured to (i) store metadata generated in response to objects detected in a video, (ii) store a confidence level associated with the metadata, (iii) provide to a plurality of users (a) data portions of the video and (b) a request for feedback, (iv) receive the feedback and (v) update the confidence level associated with the metadata in response to the feedback. The user device may be configured to (i) view the data portions, (ii) accept input to receive the feedback from one of said plurality of users and (iii) communicate the feedback to the database. The confidence level may indicate a likelihood of correctness of the objects detected in response to video analysis performed on the video. The database may track user statistics for the plurality of users based on the feedback.

Abstract: A multi-layer technology stack includes a sensor layer including image sensors, a device layer, and a cloud layer, with interfaces between the layers. A method to curate different custom workflows for multiple applications include the following. Requirements for custom sets of data packages for the applications is received. The custom set of data packages include sensor data packages (e.g., SceneData) and contextual metadata packages that contextualize the sensor data packages (e.g., SceneMarks). Based on the received requirements and capabilities of components in the technology stack, the custom workflow for that application is deployed. This includes a selection, configuration and linking of components from the technology stack. The custom workflow is implemented in the components of the technology stack by transmitting workflow control packages directly and/or indirectly via the interfaces to the different layers.

Abstract: A content based video organization, prioritization, and retrieval system and method utilizes metadata contained or included with or inferred from image frames of a video stream obtained from a sensor carried by a platform. The metadata are indexed and stored for processing to automatically create workflows depicting resultant images of a target, object, or location of interest. The workflows can be incorporated with a representation or graph based on the metadata that is time agnostic with respect to when the image frame containing the metadata was obtained by the sensor.

Abstract: Presented herein are systems and methods for identifying and disambiguating individual objects of interest from a data set. In one or more examples, image data can be received and processed to identify candidate images that may contain one or more objects of interest. The candidate image data can then be processed to segment potential objects of interest from the candidate images. The segmented potential objects of interest can then be processed via one or more analytics to determine whether each potential objects of interest is an object of interest, to determine an object type, and/or to disambiguate specific objects of interest.
