Abstract: Synchronization of listen before talk (LBT) back-off for synchronous access in unlicensed spectrum is disclosed. For nodes of a coordinated group of nodes, when one or more such nodes detects a failed LBT attempt, it pauses the contention widow countdown at the current counter value. According to such aspects, a procedure may be provided that specifies when such nodes can restart the contention window countdown using the current counter value or when the nodes can redraw the pseudo-random number for the contention window countdown in order to synchronize the contention window counters.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to bandwidth part (BWP) hopping for interference mitigation are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), a bandwidth part (BWP) configuration indicating a first BWP hopping pattern in a plurality of frequency subbands within a shared radio frequency band. The UE monitors for a first communication signal in a first frequency subband of the plurality of frequency subbands. The UE performs BWP hopping from the first frequency subband to a second frequency subband of the plurality of frequency subbands based on the first BWP hopping pattern. The UE monitors, after performing the BWP hopping, for a second communication signal in the second frequency subband.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining sidelink channel metrics using reference signal measurements of reference signals transmitted by other UEs. A first UE may receive a control message from a base station, and the control message may indicate a measurement threshold. The first UE may generate a reference signal measurement of a reference signal transmitted by a second UE via a sidelink channel between the first UE and the second UE. The UE may transmit a measurement report to the base station based at least in part on the measurement satisfying the threshold. The report may be a quantized value of the measurement or a bit indicating that the measurement satisfies the threshold. Based on receipt of the measurement report, the base station may determine to transmit data to the second UE via a transmission to the first UE.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium at a transmitting network device or a target network device in a listen-before-talk (LBT) session that employ a spatial LBT procedure is disclosed. The spatial LBT procedure takes into account multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) configuration information in measuring an effective interference. Accordingly, the spatial LBT procedure enables the transmitting network device or the target network device to more accurately measure an interference and make a more accurate decision on whether a channel is clear, and thus improves the system-wide performance. Also, the spatial LBT procedure allows the transmitting network device or the target/receiving network device to adaptively adjust the LBT power detection threshold when the MIMO configuration is not available. This also enables the network devices to more accurately measure interference and make a more accurate decision on whether the channel is clear, especially when advanced MIMO technologies are deployed in 5G or beyond.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter device may determine that a communication is to be transmitted on a shared spectrum during a channel access interval not reserved for the communication. The transmitter device may determine, based at least in part on determining that the communication is to be transmitted, that a detection power of a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation satisfies a threshold. The transmitter device may transmit, after a coordinated rate control region and based at least in part on the detection power of the LBT operation satisfying the threshold, a reservation request signal associated with the communication. The transmitter device may transmit the communication before an end of the channel access interval based at least in part on a response to the reservation request signal. Abstract: Improvements to asynchronous spatial listen before talk (LBT) procedures are disclosed. In a shared spectrum network spatial LBT procedures are used for directionally targeting the channel reservation process. Prior to transmitting channel reservation signaling, the transmitter and receiver determine an effective interference considering available multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) configuration information. When the effective interference exceeds a predefined threshold, the node may without transmission of its channel reservation signal. Otherwise, when the effective interference remains within the threshold, each node's transmitted channel reservation signal may also identify at least a beamforming matrix either as payload or used to precede the node's channel reservation signal.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a receiver may receive, from two or more transmitters, two or more sidelink control informations (SCIs) that schedule channel occupancy time (COT) resources for the two or more transmitters. The receiver may transmit, to a transmitter of the two or more transmitters, an acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement (A/N) feedback via a mini-slot carrying a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) or sidelink feedback information (SLFI) with SCI. The A/N feedback may be transmitted before a listen-before-talk (LBT) and physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission. The receiver may receive, from the transmitter using a COT resource, the PSSCH transmission based at least in part on the A/N feedback. The LBT and the PSSCH transmission may be adjustable at the transmitter based at least in part on the A/N feedback. Numerous other aspects are described.
