Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to coordinate information across a wireless network. One or more access nodes of a wireless network may configure a time resource container for receiving, amplifying, and forwarding a signal, such as a notification signal, in an operating mode. A notification signal may include an indication of coordination information and may be transmitted or received in the time resource container, such as in a first subset of a set of time resources of the time resource container. An access node may first receive a signal from a second access node, amplify and forward the signal in the time resource container to a third access node, and then decode the received signal and determine whether the signal includes coordination information for the access node. If the signal includes coordination information for the access node, the access node may perform one or more actions.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for hop-count indication in an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network. An IAB-node may adopt and indicate multiple values for hop-count. The hop-count may be conveyed by a number of different reference signals and channels. A resource pattern and/or a slot pattern may also be associated with the hop-count to simply signaling. By associating the patterns with the hop-count, an IAB-node may be able to infer the resource pattern used by another IAB-node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for transmitting a first random-access channel (RACH) message and receiving a second RACH message that includes a timing advance command (TAC) in a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). These techniques may be used by a user equipment (UE) or an integrated access backhaul (IAB) node to achieve time synchronization while limiting overhead. In one example, in an IAB network, an IAB node may transmit a first RACH message to a neighbor node, and the IAB node may receive a TAC in a PDCCH of a second RACH message from the neighbor node. In another example, in a beam failure recovery (BFR) procedure, a UE may transmit a first RACH message to a base station, and the UE may receive a TAC in a PDCCH of a second RACH message from the base station.

The handover procedure may not include random access channel (RACH) transmissions, and thus may be a localized RACH-less handover. The UE may initiate handover to a new base station based on the relative location of the UE and the new base station, some predetermined time, or based on the characteristics of the signals from each base station.

Abstract: An access node may monitor for uplink and downlink resource release indications signaled by a parent access node and a child access node prior to scheduling a released resource. In some cases (e.g., when the child node is capable of half-duplex communications), the parent access node may determine to release a resource, and the child access node may determine to release a hard resource (e.g., a child node controlled resource). Receiving uplink and downlink resource release indications may enable the access node to schedule communication with the child node via a soft resource (e.g., a parent node controlled resource). Other aspects of the described techniques are directed to feedback support for a slot format indicator (SFI). The feedback from the access node may accept or reject the SFI based on an impact the SFI has on scheduling via a child link established with a child node of the access node.

In some aspects, a central entity may determine a set of schedulable resources for a plurality of links associated with a plurality of nodes of a multi-link network; and may provide scheduling information to the plurality of nodes to schedule communication on the plurality of links based at least in part on determining the set of schedulable resources. Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for performing a common channel sensing procedure for transmissions via a mobile termination (MT) role or via a distributed unit (DU) role of an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, or both. In one aspect, the IAB node may obtain channel access for transmissions via the MT role or the DU role, or both, using the same channel sensing procedure. The IAB node may select a timing of a sensing slot for the common channel sensing procedure in accordance with a capability of the IAB node and a timing of the transmissions. The IAB node may initiate a channel occupancy time (COT) for the transmissions via the MT role or the DU role, or both, as a result of determining that a measured energy detection (ED) value satisfies an ED threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support delaying the application of reconfiguration messages. An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node transmit or receive, along a first signaling path, a reconfiguration message indicating the first IAB node to postpone applying a reconfiguration message until a second signaling path becomes available. The first IAB node may send a reconfiguration complete message to a first IAB donor node along the first path and wait to perform a procedure with the first IAB donor node. When the second path becomes available, the first IAB node and the second IAB node may then perform the procedure. In some cases, delaying the reconfiguration may involve postponing the forwarding of messages received at the first IAB node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may identify that data is available to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) that is operating in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The base station may configure a plurality of UE-specific reference signals for transmission to the UE, each UE-specific reference signal indicating a UE identifier and an availability of data for the UE. The UE may receive the UE-specific reference signal, and identify that data is available for the UE from the base station. The UE may then transmit a beam recovery signal to the base station that includes an identifier for the transmit beam used by the UE to transmit the beam recovery signal. The base station may transmit, using a beam sweeping configuration, the plurality of UE-specific reference signals.
