    Abstract: A base station may transmit a quasi-collocation (QCL) relationship indication to a user equipment (UE) that indicates different QCL groups (e.g., QCL relationships corresponding to different port groups). The QCL relationship indication may include a tuple of transmission configuration indication (TCI)-states, TCI-states configured with TCI-state-sets, or multiple TCI-states indicated via an extended media access control (MAC) control element (CE). The QCL relationship indication may indicate a QCL relationship between one or more port groups of a first reference signal set and a plurality of port groups associated with a target reference signal. For example, the QCL relationship indication may indicate two QCL groups, where each QCL group includes a QCL relationship between a reference signal resource and a port group associated with a target reference signal. Using QCL group information, the UE may perform channel estimation for demodulating target reference signals, using the QCL antenna port group.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may report measurements of a signal transmitted by a base station via a waveform. Based on the waveform, the base station may determine a position of the UE. The UE may measure the signal in a frequency band, where additional signaling in an adjacent frequency band causes interference on the signal. The UE may determine characteristics for measuring the signal based on the interference and may generate samples of the signal based on the measurement characteristics. Additionally, the UE may identify one or more antennas for measuring the signal and generate the samples based on the identified antennas. The UE may transmit the waveform report to the base station based on the samples. In some cases, the waveform may be based on a fractional symbol reporting scheme or a time mask with an offset and sampling rate.

In an aspect, a network node performs one or more positioning measurements of one or more types of positioning measurements of one or more reference signals, and reports, to a positioning entity, the one or more positioning measurements and one or more measurement quality values representing a measurement quality of the one or more positioning measurements, the one or more measurement quality values based on measurement quality reporting parameters, wherein the measurement quality reporting parameters comprise a minimum error value, a maximum error value, a number of bits used for the one or more measurement quality values, a scaling function or an identifier of the scaling function, or any combination thereof.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining a suitable pattern for transmitting reference signals used for positioning on allocated resources. In particular, the pattern may be used to assign the reference signals to frequency tones across multiple symbols such that the frequency tones to which the reference signals are mapped in at least two consecutive symbols are non-adjacent (e.g., separated by at least one frequency tone). In some cases, a wireless device may determine the pattern used to assign reference signals used for positioning autonomously (e.g., based on configured algorithms or a look-up table), and, in other cases, a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may determine the pattern used to assign reference signals used for positioning based on a configuration received from another wireless device (e.g., a base station).

    Abstract: Wireless communications devices and methods are adapted to facilitate DMRS sequence grouping. In one example, information is obtained for a transmission scheduled with pi/2 BPSK modulation, the transmission including two or more symbols scheduled for a DMRS (DMRS symbols). Respective DMRS sequences may be identified for each of the DMRS symbols, where each DMRS sequence subsequent to another DMRS sequence is dependent on its immediately preceding DMRS sequence, and the transmission may be sent with the identified DMRS sequences in the two or more DMRS symbols. In one example, a first transmission may be sent to schedule a second transmission from another device with pi/2 BPSK modulation, where the second transmission includes two or more DMRS symbols. The scheduled second transmission may be received with at least one DMRS symbol including a DMRS sequence based on its immediately preceding DMRS sequence. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also included.

    Abstract: In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) determines a resource configuration and a transmit power for a physical random access channel (PRACH) preamble sequence and/or a configuration and a transmit power for a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource unit (PRU) based on positioning information of the UE relative to the base station, the speed of the UE relative to the base station, and/or a radio resource control (RRC) state of the UE, transmits, to the base station, a message comprising the PRACH preamble sequence on a PRACH occasion and a payload on a PRU occasion based on the determined resource configuration and transmit power for the PRACH preamble sequence and/or the determined resource configuration and transmit power for the PRU, and receives, from the base station, a second message comprising information on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and a payload on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH).
