摘要: A vane wrap for a projectile is provided where the wrap includes a base configured to wrap entirely around a circumference of a projectile, such as an arrow, and adhere to the arrow. The base includes an outward facing surface having a set of adhesive strips which are placed in predetermined locations and equally spaced about the circumference when the base is applied to the arrow. Each adhesive strip can include an individual corresponding release liner removable from the strip to expose the respective adhesive for application of a vane thereto, and to the arrow in predetermined locations about a circumference of the arrow. A related method of use also is provided.

摘要: An arrow nock may have at least two distinct string guide impressions each designed to receive a bowstring to fire an arrow from a bow. The nock may be operable when connected and aligned with the arrow to cause the bowstring to be received within at least one of the string guide impressions to fire the arrow. As it is received within the string guide impression, the bowstring may cause the arrow to rotate about its longitudinal axis.

摘要: A nock insert may have an axis of elongation defining an axial direction and radial directions, a bowstring reception surface adapted to receive a bowstring, and an insert portion adapted for insertion into an arrow body. The nock insert may have one or more centering features having one or more spring tabs. Each spring tab may have a first end attached to the insert portion and a second free end extending axially from the first end and having a contact surface. The contact surfaces of each spring tab may be inherently biased outwardly in a radial direction and adapted to be radially deflected upon insertion of the insert portion into the arrow body.

摘要: The present invention relates to fletching or vanes for arrows in archery and crossbow shooting, guiding the flight of the arrow through the air after the release, i.e. when the archer has released the arrow, and the arrow has left the string, and more particularly to a fletching or vane for quick stabilization of the flight of an arrow immediately after the release at instances of interference of the arrow with the bow, as well as an arrow fletched with such vanes.

摘要: A blood draining arrow for increasing lethality and enhancing a blood trail includes a shaft, an arrowhead, a fletching, and a nock. The arrowhead and the nock are coupled to and extend from a first end and a second end of the shaft, respectively. The fletching is coupled to and extends radially from the shaft proximate to the second end. A channel extends axially through the shaft from proximate to the first end to proximate to the second end. Each of a plurality of holes is positioned in the shaft and extends to the channel. Holes in a first section of the shaft that is inserted into flesh of an animal are configured for blood to enter. The blood flows through the channel to drain from holes that are positioned in a second section of the shaft to prevent clotting of the blood and to enhance a blood trail.

摘要: A method provides a visual reference for establishing an archery sight setting for an archery sight employed when aiming a bow. The method includes receiving, with the touch screen display, a user-input identifying at least one feature of selected archery equipment, the selected archery equipment including the archery sight and the bow and establishing, by the processing device, the archery sight setting based at least in part on at least one feature identified by the user-input, the archery sight setting established to provide a desired level of accuracy for the selected archery equipment. The method also includes outputting, by the processing device, the archery sight setting for display in the touch screen display and employing the archery sight setting as a visual reference for adjusting the archery sight to locate at least one sight pin at a height to provide the desired level of accuracy for the selected archery equipment.
