Abstract: Heating operation control includes obtaining sensor data indicating measured temperatures within a heating vessel during a heating operation; determining sets of thermal stack parameters. Each set of candidate thermal stack parameters is descriptive of a respective configuration of a thermal stack modeled by a first machine learning model to generate one or more estimated tool temperature values. The thermal stack includes the tool and a part coupled to the tool. Heating operation control also includes determining a temperature profile for the heating operation. The temperature profile is determined, via a second machine learning model, based on the plurality of sets of thermal stack parameters and one or more process specifications of the thermal stack.

Abstract: A system for constructing a compacted stringer package includes a compression housing that includes a tray and a lid that is movable relative to the tray such that the compression housing is in an open state or in a closed state. The system includes a compression layer that is positioned over the tray. The system includes a breather layer that is positioned over the compression layer. With the compression housing in the closed state, the lid and the compression layer form a sealed chamber. With the compression housing in the closed state, the breather layer is positioned between the lid and the compression layer and within the sealed chamber. With the compression housing in the closed state, the breather layer distributes vacuum within the sealed chamber.

Abstract: A method for producing a fiber-reinforced plastic from a prepreg is provided with: executing a first heating to retain the prepreg in a first atmosphere, a temperature of the first atmosphere being above a room temperature and not higher than 100 degrees C.; after executing the first heating, executing a second heating to retain the prepreg in a second atmosphere, a temperature of the second atmosphere being not lower than 150 degrees C. and lower than a curing temperature of the prepreg; and after executing the second heating, executing a third heating to retain the pregreg in a third atmosphere, a temperature of the third atmosphere being higher than the curing temperature, wherein at least the first atmosphere and the second atmosphere are under reduced pressure below an atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: Moulding a composite pipe of fibre reinforcement material and a thermosetting resin that shrinks upon curing includes wrapping fibre reinforcement material about the tubular resilient sleeve of a mandrel in a non-expanded state of the sleeve. The mandrel includes an internal support structure for the sleeve which is reversibly expandable in diameter between the non-expanded state. The sleeve is internally supported by the internal support structure and an expanded state by application of an internal pressure to the sleeve. The mandrel with the fibre reinforcement material wrapped about the sleeve is accommodated in a bore of a mould. Seal members provide a closed annulus that can be evacuated. A thermosetting resin that shrinks upon curing is introduced into the closed annulus. A pressurizing fluid is supplied to the mandrel to internally pressurize the sleeve to cause diametrical expansion into the expanded state thereof whilst curing of the thermosetting resin.

Abstract: A vacuum desorption, impregnation and curing system, a vacuum desorption device and a vacuum desorption process for a protective layer of a magnetic pole are provided. Before injection of an impregnation liquid, vacuum desorption is performed on a sealed system formed by a magnetic yoke and a vacuum bag. A functional relationship about a vacuum degree or pressure in the sealed system is established so as to control the procedure of the vacuum desorption. Parameters in the functional relationship include an average suctioned gas volume flow of a vacuum pump, duration of vacuumization, an initial pressure in the sealed system, as well as an initial volume of the sealed system. With the functional relationship for the vacuum impregnation and curing system and the vacuum impregnation and curing process, a vacuum desorption standard is provided, a desorption time may be grasped better, and mutual verification effect is formed in conjunction with the detected pressure.
