Abstract: A liquid ejecting system includes a liquid ejecting head having a nozzle ejecting liquid, a supply channel communicating with the nozzle, and a recovery channel communicated with the nozzle, and circulates the liquid in the liquid ejecting head through the supply channel and the recovery channel. The supply channel includes a pressurizing section and a first buffer mechanism disposed between the nozzle and the pressurizing section. The recovery channel includes a decompression section and a second buffer mechanism disposed between the nozzle and the decompression section. The first buffer mechanism is configured to increase a buffer capacity as the supply channel is pressurized. The second buffer mechanism is configured to reduce a buffer capacity as the recovery channel is decompressed.

Abstract: To allow printing through a more appropriate method when carrying out printing using a two-liquid type ink. A fixing agent amount setting method of setting a usage amount of a fixing agent, which is liquid for fixing an ink, which is a colored ink, on a medium, where a fixing agent density, which is an amount of the fixing agent to eject per unit area is made to correspond with a colored ink density, which is an amount of the ink to eject per unit area, and set to a value smaller than or equal to an upper limit value of a fixing agent density corresponding to a maximum fixing agent density at which color unevenness does not occur on the medium.

Abstract: A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid chamber that communicates with a nozzle, a communication flow path that communicates with the liquid chamber and that has a first opening into which a liquid flows, a discharge flow path that discharges the liquid and that has a second opening into which the liquid flows, a supply flow path capable of supplying the liquid to the communication flow path and the discharge flow path, and a first slide portion disposed between the supply flow path and the communication flow path and having a first through hole that enables the supply flow path to communicate with the communication flow path. The first slide portion, by sliding along the opening surface of the first opening, changes the position of the first through hole with respect to the communication flow path and changes the flow path resistance of the communication flow path.

Abstract: To suppress the risk of ink bleeding and thereby attain an improved printing quality, a printing apparatus 10 is provided that carries out an inkjet printing operation for a medium 50. The printing apparatus 10 includes inkjet heads 102 that eject droplets of ink using inkjet technique; and ultraviolet light sources 104 that radiate ultraviolet light. The ink ejected from the inkjet heads 102 contains an ultraviolet absorbent that absorbs ultraviolet light, and a solvent that dissolves or disperses the ultraviolet absorbent. The ejected ink is adherable to the medium 50 and fixable by evaporating the solvent. The ultraviolet light sources 104 irradiate the ink adhered to the medium 50 with ultraviolet light so as to volatilize and remove at least part of the solvent from the ink.

Abstract: In a state in which a liquid storage body is installed in a liquid ejecting apparatus, at least part of the upper edge of a liquid storage section and at least part of the lower edge of the liquid storage section are in contact with a case and a first inner surface of the liquid storage section and its second inner surface opposite to the first inner surface are separated from each other. The liquid storage section is structured so that as a liquid is supplied, the first inner surface and second inner surface gradually approach each other and, at the same time, come into contact with each other from top to bottom, forming, at the bottom of the interior of the liquid storage section, a liquid flow path through which the liquid flows from the liquid storage section to the liquid supply section.
