    摘要: The present invention discloses a self-locking mechanism for use in a drill chuck, comprising: clutch tooth sleeves, fixedly connected with the chuck body of the drill chuck and forming teeth; an oval deformation ring, having a substantially circular first shape and a substantially oval second shape, wherein the oval deformation ring has teeth on the side wall, with the teeth engaging with the teeth of the clutch tooth sleeve when the oval deformation ring is in the second shape; and a control sleeve, for controlling the conversion of the oval deformation sleeve between the first shape and the second shape. The present invention also discloses a force increasing self-locking drill chuck with said self-locking mechanism. The self-locking mechanism according to the present invention can be used in drill chucks of multiple structures, and provides a brand-new thought for the designs of the self-locking mechanisms of drill chucks.

    摘要: A drill chuck has a chuck body centered on and axis, and a tightening element surrounding the body and rotatable thereon about the axis. The tightening element has a front sleeve formed with jaw-holding guides and a rear sleeve releasably coupled with the front sleeve. A retaining ring bears axially forward on the sleeve. Releasable locking formations on the ring and body are relatively displaceable between a retaining position preventing axial rearward shifting of the ring and sleeve on the body and a freeing position permitting such shifting. A pusher rotationally coupled to the jaws bears axially forward on the jaws. Interengaging screwthreads on the pusher and chuck body are provided so that relative rotation of the sleeve together with the jaws and pusher relative to the chuck body axially displaces the jaws between their positions.

    摘要: A gear reducing collet nut assembly is provided for holding a tool bit. The assembly includes an outer grip sleeve that can be rotated to actuate a clamping structure with a bore for holding a tool bit. More specifically, the assembly includes a planetary gear system to amplify torque from the grip sleeve to facilitate effective manual operation. The assembly includes a base member that is securable to a shaft of a rotary power tool, and the planetary gears are rotatably mounted at a plurality of positions on the base member. The planetary gears are driven by a central sun gear that is fixed to the grip sleeve. The planetary gears deliver torque to a ring gear that extends peripherally around the planetary gears. Movement of the ring gear is effective to actuate the clamping structure. In an embodiment, an exterior of the ring gear is threaded to the base member and axially fixed relative to the grip sleeve. As a result, rotation of the outer sleeve causes axial translation of the sun gear, which has a tapered surface that acts against the clamping structure to selectively constrain or release a tool from an axial bore in the clamping structure.

    摘要: This invention relates to a chuck assembly for a drill box of a mine drill for releasably securing a mining tool including a working end and a depending rod-like member for roof bolting and roof and face drilling operations and a method of using the chuck assembly. The drill box includes a source of rotary power and a drive member operatively connected to the source of rotary power to rotatably drive the chuck assembly. The chuck assembly includes a spindle, a collet closer and a collet. The spindle is operatively connected to the drive member and has a sleeve of a cylindrical shape including a threaded collar end and a bottom end and an opening extending a selected distance from the collar end to the bottom end. The collet closer includes an annular housing having an aperture threaded for threadingly engaging the threaded collar end of the spindle. The collet includes a forward end portion and an opposing tapered rear end portion and an internal bore capable of receiving the rod-like member of the mining tool. The collet extends a selected distance within the opening of the sleeve such that the collet closes uniformly around the rod-like member of the mining tool as the collet is compressed within the opening of the sleeve by the action of the collet closer threadingly engaging the threaded collar end.
