摘要： A slat system, to be mounted on a chain link fence, comprises an elongate slat-retaining member woven through the links of the chain link fence and a plurality of slats. The slats are also woven through the chain links generally parallel to each other but at a predetermined angle to the elongate slat-retaining member. Each slat has one end formed with an arrow-shaped extension to be inserted in a longitudinal groove made in the center of a V-shaped wall of the slat-retaining member. The arrow-shaped extensions of the slats and the slotted wall of the slat-retaining member interlock each other to grip the slats and the slat-retaining member to each other and thereby prevent the slats from moving longitudinally on the chain link fence.

摘要： A slat fence retainer for retaining slats in a chain-link fence includes a horizontally disposed slat-retaining element having a pair of spaced apart side walls, a base joining the bottom margin of the side walls and an open top. The element includes a vertical-slat retention means thereon. Plural, vertical slat elements are predimensioned to be received in the links in the fence. Each vertical slat element has at least one substantially planar and resilient flange at an end thereof and slots formed adjacent the end for engagement with the slat retention means to hold the vertical slat element in the fence.

摘要： A chain link fence and a method of manufacturing an improved selvage therefore that provides no exposed ends of wires. The chain link fence of the present invention is manufactured from a plurality of wires coupled in a woven format so as to form loops. The chain link fence includes slats woven through the plurality of loops so as to provide privacy subsequent installation. The chain link fence manufacturing method provides for an improved selvage at the top and bottom thereof wherein the selvage has no exposed ends and as such eliminating the deficiencies of traditional selvages. The method of the present invention includes providing a plurality of bends to the exposed ends of the wire comprising the chain link fence. The plurality of bends culminates in the formation of a novel selvage that has the exposed ends of the wire penetrating into the body of the plurality of slats.

The textile encloses the top horizontal wire of the mesh within a hem held fast by wire and is thereby restrained. A band of the textile, sufficiently wide to be held to the ground by the placement of soil, extends from the base of the perimeter frame towards its middle.Wire is also used as crossties to enable the lateral earth pressure pushing against one side to resist the lateral earth pressure pushing against the side opposite.
