    摘要: Couplers for coupling conduit in end-to-end flow communication relationship are disclosed. A coupler has at least two coupling members each having one end hingingly attachable to one end of another of the at least two coupling members, and one of each coupling members having one end configured with a first cooperating attaching component and the other of each having one end configured with a second cooperating attaching component. There may also be a pressure producing element which increases coupling forces when said first and second cooperating attaching components are attached. There may also be corrugations in the walls of one or all of the coupling members that fit within corrugations of corrugated conduit being connected. The inside diameter of the coupler is about equal to or greater than the outside diameter of the conduit being thereby coupled. In addition, a plurality of couplers and/or coupling members may be used to couple conduit with small diameters and conduit with large diameters. The larger the diameter of the conduit the more coupling members are needed to so couple the conduit.

    摘要: A quick locking and unlocking coupling for connecting lengths of flexible, corrugated conduit in end to end registration, or for attaching conduit to an outlet, feeder or source of, for example, industrial, high volume vacuuming equipment, includes a cylindrical conduit joining member having half sections that are insertable within the ends of the conduit lengths for aligning and supporting the conduit ends thereby establishing fluid, gas or material flow communication through the lengths of conduit. An annular center flange projects from the conduit joining member providing an abutment surface for the respective conduit ends, and a pair of pivotally joined arcuate arms are mounted to the flange and are movable from an unlocked position to a locked position encompassing the flange and the ends of the conduit thereby locking the coupling to the conduit ends and interconnecting the conduit lengths thus providing gas, fluid or material flow therethrough.

The first body has a plurality pf resilient lugs (14) with respective inwardly directed projections (17) at the ends thereof to be received in one of the said grooves to grip the pipe. The two bodies can be relatively angularly moved between a neutral position of the device, where the pipe is retained by the resilience alone of the lugs, an unlocked position, where the lugs are released from the pipe, and a locked position, where the lugs are forced into locking engagement with the pipe, movement of the lugs being controlled by cam formations a (29) extending from the end surface of the second body (11). In other embodiments the bodies can have a rotation lock in said locked position and/or neutral position, and/or a lock to prevent outward movement of the lugs when the bodies are in the locked position.

    摘要: A coupling for a corrugated pipe has two retainers hinged integrally with the coupling so that they can be folded down to project through apertures in the coupling and engage between corrugations on the pipe. When folded down in full engagement with the pipe, spring levers on opposite sides of the retainers engage under ledges in the aperture. The levers cannot engage when a retainer does not fully engage between the corrugations thereby making it apparent that the retainer is not fully engaged.
