摘要:
An electric cushioning mechanism of a treadmill having a cushioning rod assembly positioned at the rear end of the front support frame. The cushioning rod assembly is coupled to an electric cushioning mechanism. The electric cushioning mechanism includes a linking support, a cushioning drive motor, a slide element, and a slope guide plate. The linking support is provided with a roller at the bottom of both sides thereof, respectively. The cushioning drive motor has a guide screw rod. A pushing slope is formed at the bottom of both sides of the slide element. The pushing slope pushes against the slope guide plate. The roller of the linking support tends to slide on the path with different slopes by use of the angular change on the slope guide plate, thereby creating different reactive cushioning forces.

Sensing applications for exercise machines are described. An example sensing application for profiling a workout session of an exercise machine comprises a user interface to input physical characteristics or workout parameters. A sensor is operatively coupled to the exercise machine to generate an output signal in proportion to a magnitude of a force imparted on the exercise machine in response to an impact to the exercise machine. A control system processes the output signal to determine a magnitude of a peak or trough value of the output signal, where the control system is to process the peak or trough value of the output signal to profile the exercise session.

The present invention is related to a cushioning device for treadmill, wherein the treadmill has a base with a side frame on each of its both sides, a deck disposed on the base to allow for the motions of running or walking by users, and a track surrounding and disposed on the deck. The deck is fastened to the base at least at its one end. At least one cushioning devices with adjustable cushion force are correspondingly disposed between the both sides of the deck and the side frames of the base. Each cushioning device has a plunger cylinder used to provide a cushion force in the reverse direction to cushion impact loads imparted on the deck while running or walking.

A treadmill (10) includes a frame on which are mounted transverse forward and rearward roller assemblies (14, 16). An endless belt (18) is trained about the forward and rearward roller assemblies. A deck (20) is positioned between the upper run of the belt and the frame. The rearward portion of the deck (20) is mounted to the frame by a pivot connection (24) to allow pivoting of the deck about an axis transversely to the length of the deck. Elongate springs (26) of adjustable stiffness are mounted either along the sides of the frame to underlie the side margins of the deck, or transversely of the deck, to support the deck in conjunction with the pivot connection (24) and to absorb impact loads imparted on the deck by the user.

A treadmill including an adjustable spring structure for providing resiliency or a cushioning effect to a user. The adjustable spring structure includes a longitudinally extending leaf spring secured at one end to a crossmember extending between the side rails of the treadmill frame, the free end of the leaf spring having secured thereto a downwardly extending foot. The flex of the leaf spring, and thus the resiliency or cushioning afforded the user, are adjustable via longitudinal movement of a laterally extending adjustment bar disposed between the leaf spring and the frame.

The present invention provides a resilient support for a treadmill deck by suspending the deck at its lateral edges on resilient elements supported by the side rails of the treadmill frame. In addition, the resilient elements may be of adjustable resiliency, such as inflatable bladders, or may be a combination of fixed and adjustably resilient portions. Also disclosed is the use of an adjustably resilient element between the treadmill frame and a supporting surface, and using such as arrangement to vary the inclination of the treadmill.

A motor-less leg-powered curved treadmill produced that allows people to walk, jog, run, and sprint without making any adjustments to the treadmill other than shifting the user's center of gravity forward and backwards. A closed loop treadmill belt running between front and rear pulley rollers is formed with a low friction running surface of transverse wooden, plastic or rubber slats attached to each other in a resilient fashion, wherein each transverse slat has at least one continuous fin descending downward therefrom.

A mountain climbing machine, which does not require connecting with an external electrical power source, includes a running belt, front and rear rollers, and a generator operatively linked to one of the front and rear rollers for generating electrical power when the running belt is running, wherein a rotational speed of said generator is controlled by a consumption of the electrical power generated from the running belt so as to provide a resistance force at one of the front and rear rollers to maintain the running belt at a constant speed without connecting to the external electrical power source.
