    Abstract: A pointing method, applied to a pointing device comprising a processing circuit, comprising: (a) receiving input delta by the processing circuit, wherein the input delta indicates supposed movement of the pointing device; (b) adjusting the input delta to generate output delta by the processing circuit, wherein the input delta has a first magnitude and the output delta has a second magnitude, wherein the second magnitude is smaller than or equal to the first magnitude; and (c) output the output delta by the processing circuit.

    Abstract: Disclosed in a movement direction determination system comprising a first detection region, a second detection region and a processing circuit. The first detection region and the second detection region respectively comprises an optical sensor. The processing circuit determines a movement direction of an object according to the optical data generated by the first detection region and the second detection region. The present invention also discloses a movement direction determination system using a single detection region. The present invention also discloses an object volume computation system which can compute an object volume according to sensed optical data. The disclosed movement direction determination system can be used for various applications and the object volume computation system can assist product confirmation.

    Abstract: A pressure sensing device, comprising: a frame work; a capacitive pressure sensor layer, surrounding the frame work; a capacitive touch sensor layer; and a flexible material layer, located between the pressure sensor layer and the touch sensor layer and surrounding the capacitive pressure sensor layer. The capacitive touch sensor layer is above the flexible material layer when the capacitive pressure sensor layer is below the flexible material layer. The capacitive touch sensor layer has a first driving electrode and a first sensing electrode. The capacitive pressure sensor layer has a second driving electrode and a second sensing electrode. A 3D gesture control system and a vehicle control system applying the pressure sensing device are also disclosed. Via the pressure sensing device, the 3D gesture control system and the vehicle control system can generate control commands according to a touch or a pressure provided by a user.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a time delay integration (TDI) sensor using a rolling shutter. The TDI sensor includes multiple pixel columns. Each pixel column includes multiple pixels arranged in an along-track direction, wherein two adjacent pixels or two adjacent pixel groups in every pixel column have a separation space therebetween. The separation space is equal to a pixel height multiplied by a time ratio of a line time difference of the rolling shutter and a frame period, or equal to a summation of at least one pixel height and a multiplication of the pixel height by the time ratio of the line time difference and the frame period. The TDI sensor further records defect pixels of a pixel array such that in integrating pixel data to integrators, the pixel data associated with the defect pixels is not integrated into corresponding integrators.
