摘要: A device for forming the outstretched, horizontally positioned spine of the case of a book, which is extended uniformly over, and aligned with, the spine of a book block, and which possibly has an inlay such as schrenz paper. The device includes a forming tool, which can be moved toward the inside surface of the spine of the case, i.e., the surface which faces the spine of the book block, lifts the case spine up between two lateral, opposing creasing rails, and produces at least a rounded or flat web on the spine between the book covers of the case. The forming tool is mounted on a rotatable frame having an axis of rotation which is parallel to the creasing rails.

摘要: An apparatus for feeding print products, conveyed in a flow, to a processing device. The apparatus includes a feeding device including a first conveyor and a downstream-connected second conveyor. A guide arrangement is provided with side-adjustable guide members having a longitudinal center axis which constitutes the longitudinal center axis relative to the conveyed flow of print products. The print products are aligned along the guide arrangement, and the guide arrangement is configured relative to the longitudinal center axis so that it can be adjusted transverse to the conveying direction of the print products.

摘要: A device for transferring book blocks or books on a conveyance path for synchronized processing in a downstream machine includes a feeding device for the successive book blocks and a synchronizing device downstream of the feeding device. The synchronizing device has a conveyor belt that is connected with the feeding device in a way that allows conveyance. The book blocks are fed on the conveyor belt with lateral guidance to a drive device, which is drive-connected with the conveyor belt and acts to convey the book blocks.

摘要: A method and apparatus for producing selectively collated print products employ a production section, a control device, a transfer-out device for transferring out defective print products, a detection device that detects and records gaps resulting from the transfer out of defective print products, and a transfer-in device. Initially, a line of print products are processed in a production section; a predetermined number of print products are diverted from the production section and supplied to a product buffer. If the print products are not diverted, the line of print products continue in a conveying section and gaps between the print products are detected and recorded via the detection device. A number of print products are removed from the product buffer based on a control signal from the control device to fill detected gaps between print products in the conveying section; and the removed print products are inserted into the recorded gaps.

摘要: An apparatus for producing an adhesive-bound printed product comprises an endlessly circulating transport system where a transport clamp holds a clamped-in printed product with the aid of a first adjusting mechanism that generates a first movement component while the printed product circulates through the apparatus. To favorably influence an opening and/or closing movement depending on the printed product), the apparatus comprises a second adjusting mechanism to be selectively activated and to generate in an activated position a second movement component that acts upon a swivel arm. The second movement component is oriented counter to an upward movement of the control arm induced by the first movement component. The counter-oriented movement components are compensated via a second mechanical spring which supports the swivel arm relative to the control arm.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for the thread-stitching of folded signatures, for which individual folded signatures which are successively lined up along their flat sides are sewn together with at least one sewing needle and at least one hook needle to form a book block. Prior to penetrating the fold of the signature to be sewn from the inside to the outside and before penetrating the eyelet of the previously sewn signature, the hook needle is rotated in such a way around its longitudinal axis that its hook is positioned in a vertical symmetry axis of the eyelet, on a side of the hook needle that faces the previously sewn signature. The hook needle can be rotated for this at an optional angle (α) around its longitudinal axis and the hook can be positioned at an optional rotational position.

摘要: The invention relates to a book production line and a method for producing individual books as well as very short and short runs of books. The book production line comprises a feed device and a following transport section for book covers, a feed device and a following transport and processing section with a rounding and pressing machine, an adhesive-backing apparatus for book blocks, and a casing-in machine. The rounding and pressing machine forms an upstream-arranged, first adjustment segment. The adhesive-backing apparatus is divided into at least two additional adjustment segments that successively follow each other in a transport direction of the book blocks. Each adjustment segment includes a separate drive and a number of book block positions which is the same for each adjustment segment or differs maximally by three book block positions.
