摘要: An electrical contact includes a contact body having a mating portion and a barrel portion configured for receiving an electrical conductor. The barrel portion includes a wall defining a bore having a closed end and open end, and the bore includes a core receiver portion for receiving the core of an electrical conductor and a plug receiver portion adjacent the closed end of the bore. A hole is formed in the barrel portion proximate the closed end of the bore and extending into the plug receiver portion of the bore through the wall. A plug has a body portion configured to be inserted into the bore and to engage the plug receiver portion of the bore. The plug is disposed in the end of the plug receiver portion and is further configured to seal the plug receiving portion of the bore and the hole from the rest of the bore.

摘要: A fiber optic socket contact includes a socket contact body and a capped sleeve containing a spring and a retention clip that engages a socket contact body. A fiber optic pin contact includes a pin contact body. One optical fiber is gripped by the socket contact body and another optical fiber is gripped by the pin contact body. When connector housings holding the fiber optic socket contact and the fiber optic pin contact are connected together, the fiber optic pin contact enters the capped sleeve which aligns the fiber optic pin contact with the fiber optic socket contact. The spring applies a force to keep the optical fibers pressed together. In preferred arrangements the fiber optic socket contact and the fiber optic pin contact have outer dimensions that substantially match outer dimensions specified for electrical socket and pin contacts.

摘要: An electrical connector assembly for use with conductors includes a pin assembly with a pin and a socket assembly to mate with the pin assembly. The socket assembly includes a socket body configured to receive the pin. A finger collar surrounds the socket body, and a locking collar surrounds and is rotatable on the finger collar. The locking collar moves between an unlocked position and a locked position. The finger collar includes one or more flexible fingers configured to flex to engage the pin assembly when it is mated with the socket assembly. The locking collar includes one or more windows that are in alignment with respective flexible fingers so the flexible fingers lex through the locking collar to engage the pin assembly and flex and grasp the pin assembly. The locking collar is further rotatable to the locked position that moves the windows out of alignment with the respective flexible fingers and prevents further flexing of the flexible fingers away from the pin assembly to lock the socket assembly in engagement with the pin assembly.

摘要: An electrical terminal for coupling to a conductive structure includes a body having a wire receiving portion for receiving a conductor. A cup portion is electrically coupled with the wire receiving portion and a boss portion extends from the cup portion. An overmold structure of insulation material is formed on the cup portion and covers the cup portion sides. An aperture is formed in the body and extends through the cup portion and the boss portion for receiving a post of the conductive structure for securing the terminal to the conductive structure. A fastener is configured for engaging a post and securing the boss portion against the conductive structure. The boss portion is configured to surround the aperture for providing an electrically conductive surface free from insulation material for interfacing with the conductive structure. The fastener and post are contained in the cup portion and an insulative cap is configured for engaging the overmold structure and sealing the cup structure around the fastener and post of a conductive structure.

摘要: A connector assembly for coupling with one or more electrodes includes one or more cables with wires. A plug is electrically coupled with an end or ends of the cables. An electrode connector structure is electrically coupled with the cables and includes a body that is configured for forming an internal space. A cantilevered first arm has an end that cantilevers toward the internal space. The cantilevered first arm has a rest position and a flexed position. A stationary second arm and arm end extend into the internal space opposite the first arm. At least one of the ends of the cantilevered first arm and stationary second arm include an electrical contact. In the rest position, the end of the cantilevered first arm is positioned opposite the stationary second arm a first distance. In the flexed position, the cantilevered arm, moves away from the stationary second arm to separate the ends to a greater distance to receive the electrode and returns to the rest position to grip the electrode.

摘要: A cable includes a center conductor and at least one layer formed of silicon dioxide fibers that are braided around the center conductor to form a braided dielectric core layer over the center conductor. An outer conductor layer is formed over the braided silicon dioxide core layer either as a wrapped tape or a semi-rigid conductor. In flexible embodiments of the cable, one or more outer strength layers and jackets may be applied over the outer conductor layer. In embodiments of the invention, the dielectric core layer includes at a plurality of sublayers of silicon dioxide fibers wherein each of the sublayers is successively braided on a previous sublayer.

摘要: An electrical connector system includes a connector with a plug. A shroud extends over a portion of the plug and is coupled with the plug. A conductive socket is configured for receiving the plug of the connector. The socket includes a groove formed on an outer surface thereof. The shroud includes spring fingers having a lock portion thereon configured for engaging the groove for securing the connector in the socket. A collar is slidably mounted on the conductive socket and is configured for sliding between a locked position proximate to the socket groove and an unlocked position. The collar is further configured for engaging the spring fingers of the connector shroud in the locked position to hold the finger lock portions engaged with the groove to lock the connector in the socket.

The sleeve is further configured for capturing the spring and ground slide with the body element and has a plurality of spring fingers at a front end thereof that contact the front end of the movable ground slide for providing electrical connection with the body element.
